Haha, should be good to go on that! I've got a few tricks up the sleeve to avoid those, plus am using Akismet on here and a few other things behind the scenes to avoid that at all costs. That was the absolute worst. I'd rather have a few false positives than that insanity.

Just got Cloudflare working on here as well, so I'm feeling good about things at the moment. Well, as good as I can until we get that first huge spike and go down.

 

I've had good experiences with both of those. Only the free plans of them though, and yet I've noticed the difference. Feels good when I log in and Akismet is like "Hundreds of thousands of spam comments have been blocked!"

Since the update, if I load the site using https, I get a "this site is trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources" message, and none of the styling of the site loads. Looks like just plain HTML. I have to click "load unsafe scripts" to get the page to render properly. Not sure if that's expected or not. This is on Chrome.

edit: actually now that I think about it, this happens on another forum too. maybe this was always the case and I only noticed it a half hour ago.

I currently do not have SSL set up for the forum, so the https:// address is gonna be all kinds of messed up. Heh. I plan to make those changes and serve it over that soon, but at the moment, it's not working.

 

Opened up my neighbor's box of shoes because it was coming from Clarks and I don't read labels. Whoops.

 

mobile is down so I'm checking in on PC. looks great

 

new forum looks so good. wish I wasn't at work and could slack off more egregiously

Is this to help with dementia or alzheimer's? Cause my 92 year old grandfather has Dementia and they are planning on putting him on some kind of drug.

The entire forum is now being served over SSL and all insecure requests will be redirected to https. Yay for encryption.

He's in an alzheimers ward but he still has his wits about him compared to the other people in there. I'm obviously no doctor but I don't see why he's in there. But yeah that's it. Weirdly he's been in a good state recently and now they're putting him on it.

I have Geico and only pay 65.00 a month. My car is also almost 9 years old, so I have that going for me.
