im drunk and getting really emotional about daredevil

 

How's everyone's Saturday going? Writing a couple music reviews for The 1975 and Brian Fallon right now.

 

Where are you writing?

 

I cleaned my room and helped mom re-organize the garage. Been sitting on my ass watching sports (and disturbing YouTube videos from my best friend in med school), eating food, and organizing iTunes since.

 

I watched half the first episode of Daredevil S2 and my parents decided we're going to eat South American food so here I am

Not much interest in anything there besides ETID. I don't guess the "leak" really hurts them much, but no obnoxious waves of announcements so that's good

 

i didnt know half of those bands still existed

 

If New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Less Than Jake, Four Year Strong, and Every Time I Die weren't on that list, I don't think I would know a single song by any band on the tour.

 

I didn't either.

 

Nope, not quite that bad. It's not a huge cut. Just in a spot that's probably prone to bleeding more than others I guess. But it is still a bit irritated.

I've done that before. It's not fun haha.

But guys this is such an improvement there are like, 4 bands with women in them

 

The last show I played when I used to be in a band I cut open a layer or two of skin on one of my knuckles on my left hand because I think I hit the run of my snare. Didn't notice at first until there was blood on the snare and my hand haha. Wasn't bad though.

Whenever I accidentally hit myself hand/finger/thumb with my stick while playing the bone usually feels bruised for about a week or so.

Speaking of "stitches bad" I remember reading that the drummer from Cage The Elephant (at least I think it was that band) sliced open his hand during a show once trying to clamp one of his cymbals after hitting it and they needed to bring a bucket of ice out to him to stop the bleeding.

 

Is it cause you're Irish?

 

I'm pretty sure Nathan Young (Anberlin) played a show with the stomach virus and the drum tech held a bucket so he could puke while playing

If we're sharing things we've heard, I remember hearing that Geoff Tickly (Thursday) would vomit mid set off to the side stage sometimes and come back on to play more.

 

There was an episode of lead singer syndrome where Adam Lazzarra mentioned knocking out one of the guitarists (I think) with his microphone. When the guy came too, he finished the set. There was also an episode with someone, don't remember who, who broke his back but then finished the set, then the tour.

 

@Deathco_019 I need to find the interview I read it in. I actually think it was on the-website-that-shan't-be-named.

 

Gonna plug myself and say that I played a 2 hour set with such a high fever my dad had to carry me on and off the drum set

 

He hit Matt Rubano. Matt talked about it on a different podcast recently too

 

Netflix needs to cut these Marvel shows episodes in half.

Like... 13 30 minute episodes or 6 full hour episodes?

 

I am so antsy to post this week's classic artist. Waiting til midnight is such a test of will.
