I don't even smoke cigarettes anymore. I quit 7 months ago. Who am I?

 

the human body is literally programmed to enjoy the way it feels, so no youre not. its a physical impulse, not a moral one.

 

A better person than me cuz I'm awful at quitting haha

 

i gave up cigs about two months ago but work is so so so miserable i'm back on as a way to skip out for ten minutes every so often

 

yeah whoever it was that was allergic to codeine and wondered about never being able to do lean, consider yourself lucky tbh

 

I love when people say addiction is all in your head, that quitting smoking is "all mental". They're not wrong but know what else is all mental? Thoughts, emotions, desires, pain receptors, basically every sense you have, etc

 

I've smoked hundreds of cigarettes in my life, never gotten to the point where I bought a pack for myself. Literally only smoke them when I'm smoking or drinking.

 

man i used to joke about purple drank in HS and looking back im pretty mad at myself over it. my friend matt got in my face about it once like "lean killed pimp c fuck you it isnt funny" and i was pretty mollified.

 

keep it that way, bud. not worth it.

I didn't think anything about it when I did it (lean) tbh. Didn't think about any negative repercussions at all. Would call it a huge regret but, you know, growing experiences or whatever.

I get it though. Hope I'm not sounding all holier than thou because I do get the curiosity I'm just throwing in my experience I guess.

 

I have smoked maybe three times and I was blacked out every time. The feeling the next morning was fucking awful.

I also don't think I've ever finished a cup of coffee. I think in my life I've had maybe 4 sips.

 

I started smoking as a placeholder to get off pills and I do not recommend that haha

 

Man i couldn't live without coffee, but the acid reflux after effects are awful.

 

One time I brought a girl I was seeing to hang with my friends with the first time, and we were all drinking. She's super against smoking, because her uncle died from lung cancer. We all went outside at one point to smoke a blunt or something, and a few of us had cigs as well. I absentmindedly lit one up myself, and man, she popped off on me.

 

I feel like once a year a remember that A Healthy Distrust is my favorite hip-hop album.

No cigarettes ever. No drugs ever. I do drink, but not all that frequently.

But I have issues with food, so I've still destroyed myself anyway.

I don't mind people who are adamantly against them, but man... sometimes they can be kinda annoying.

agreed. like i totally understand the urge but....i know its bad for me. you dont have to remind me. its been shoved down my throat forever. i get it

 

I quit because they thought I had ovarian cancer. I was like "yep, I'm done".
