Okay well that's fair. Tbh I wasn't aware at all of the whole "I LOVE macklemore. he has a message! he doesn't just rap about money and hoes and bling!" similar reaction to Hamilton. When you said it was corny or cheesy somewhere before it kinda sounded like how some people who don't give musicals a chance or just think the whole genre is lame, which I think you'd understand can come across about as ignorant as folks who don't give rap or hip-hop a chance.

We already had a long discussion on enjoying problematic art that also has positives, and where we draw our personal line when it comes to consuming it. So what ever is good with you. If it's the Macklemore like reaction that is really giving you the hard time, well that's unfortunate. It's unfortunate that it exists. Wish it didn't.

yeah i mean its whatever, i know broadway is kinda campy and cheesy no matter what and thats cool. when i called it corny i meant more in the sense that i'd call a rapper corny. like macklemore. hah. its totally fine with me if people love hamilton, like i get why its so cool and important and all that jazz. just kinda my undeveloped thoughts about it

I'm actually as proud of the four "History 101" pieces I wrote for that site as I am of pretty much anything I've done anywhere. Shame it fizzled out.

Yeah I wrote lengthy, in-depth pieces on 4 classic albums. Then my schedule imploded and by the time I had time again the site was in a whole other place. I am still really proud of those.

 

Do you still have them bc I'd like to read them and it doesn't look like they're still on MOC?

 

can i just say, i am disappointed in people who think food is a deal breaker. people have their reasons for not eating like everyone else. for me, i have some certain health reasons for it. and that's ok. your own well-being isn't affected by someone else not eating the way you do. i had to deal with this sh*t with my ex and it wasn't cool. his family was uber sensitive and offended over literally everything, including the fact i had to be picky about my food. it's not always the person's fault. i'd be happy to be able to eat everything like most people, but after noticing it was affecting my body in negative ways i had to make changes.
