Holy shit Johnny Tsunami

 

Im having flashbacks to old video games and early 2000s Disney Channel movies

 

If I recall right, you live in Georgia? Did you go to the Atlanta show in December? It was amazing.

This is pretty much word for word what I would say.

 

Johnny Tsunami... story of a brown kid who beats a bunch of snobby white kids and then gets the girl.

I love it.

 

I did some contract work for my mom's company today cleaning empty apartments. Been having an allergic reaction since 9am, alrighttttttttt. But I made a decent amount of money and gained a shit ton of respect for anyone who cleans for a living.

 

I didn't. Wasn't it on a day during the week? I think I had to work. The videos I watched show there were so many people talking while they were playing and it was infuriating so I'm glad I didn't go.

 

I thought it was a Saturday. I can't find any videos on YouTube for that show. Every time I look, it only brings up NBA videos like some cosmic joke I'm not understanding. People did talk a decent amount, but I was near enough to the stage to not have that ruin it for me, I think. Everyone around me was singing.

 

I love this movie so much. Good ole Seth Cohen and skateboards, plus the awesome Blindside cameo

So I want to capitalize on us all being here and positive and excited. I'm thinking of starting an Artist-a-Week thing this Sunday as a pilot to see how it goes before the site goes wide.

If I make it, who'd be in?

I'm in. I'll read, contribute, WHATEVER! DO IT!

 

Interested in participating. Basically it'd be up to your interest level. There'd be a recommended album, a 3-album "crash course", a well-regarded compilation and a list of "top tracks". You could listen to any one of those, or explore the artist on your own as you see fit. As long as you're listening to and exploring them that week and posting in the thread, do you.

 

See my other post. Your involvement and exploration can be as little or as much as you have interest in/time for.

This is very interesting, but I also don't think I'd be the best person to try and write one to contribute in that regard.

 

^ Basically that. Pick a different artist every week. If it's an artist you're skeptical on or a busy week, you just peruse a few songs. If you're looking to explore, go nuts. But it just would get us all listening and talking.

 

I'd guide it. Pick the artist and prep up the blurbs (sometimes with help/input for artists I don't know well, I'm sure). All you'd have to do is listen and talk about it. Low pressure as hell.

It would definitely be focused on older artists. Pre-00s, definitely.
