There are a few places that I go to where they'll let you order 1 pancake, so that's something I will do sometimes. Often, though, my wife and I will each get our own savory dish and then will split an order of pancakes as well, preferably like a shortstack or something less than a full order when possible, which is another way to get around it.

I had a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon Christmas morning but the smoked salmon wasn't the best.

If you want the best of the best wrt that I heard you gotta go to Russ & Daughters in NYC

 

I smuggled some smoked salmon back from Ireland and I was SWEATING but it was worth it.

 

Biscuits & gravy and bfest burritos are my go to
