Yeah, but friends are over, having headphones on seems inconvenient. unplugging it will just have the audio go back to the TV. not a big deal.

 

I truly don't understand why when my headphones are in and I am clearly working this boomer decides to tell me the most uninteresting story about his son at college WHILE HE IS STICKING HIS FINGER IN HIS MOUTH TO PICK HIS TEETH

 

Just turn back to your work and ignore them.

I do that when people try to talk to me at work (or on the street, tbh). I have headphones in. It's a sign to fuck off.

I'm now stuck sitting next to a dude who acts like a boomer. While his politics are pretty left, he is annoying in every other way. He takes phone calls at his desk instead of going into one of the conference rooms, he eats noisily, and I have to hear him mutter throughout the day. it's usually like "motherfucking son of a bitch idiot [insert any of his writer's name]"

It's Fresno, security knows there's nothing to protect.
