I received a $2/hr raise today. Drinks on me for New Years fam.

 

Both cats I wanted got adopted, which in itself isn't a bad thing.

I'm just annoyed by the communication silence. I submitted an application for both of them and even responded to an email from the head lady (who was emailing about a bonded pair that has 1 cat with possible IBS and is skin/bones and what they knew about their health). Didn't hear back and yesterday it was raining so I couldn't walk over.

Not sure what I should have done, so I'm just frustrated with the process and myself in being patient and not rushing into anything I guess. Just confused and annoyed.

Oh well, there will be other cats.

And while he is getting healthier, I'm just worried about taking that sort of situation on.


All I wanted to be told is something like, "hey we got your application, unfortunately both cats found better homes, come see if you like any others." Acknowledge my contact so I don't worry it's on me and I'm the one fucking up.

Lol. He definitely comes with his own added costs because I'd need to pay for meds and different food from the other kitty in the pair.

There's the SF SPCA, which is the one I was initially looking at cats for. The place I visited Saturday was just more convenient as it's all of a 10-min walk there as opposed to a hour-long BART ride.
