I just don't understand life anymore?

Like I quit a three year career in the automotive industry and went back to school because my employer didn't value me. Then flash forward to today I left an interview at a upscale restaurant because the position didn't pay enough. Like a high end french restaurant in a VERY well off town on a goddamn lake. And you pay your hosts $11 an hour with no tips? You you get 50 reservations in a night and you're only open 6 hours and you have 50 tables?

Like why are people so greedy and why can't employers take care of their employees and why the fuck do people take that shit? What happened to having a job to enhance your life instead of suffering until you die for nothing?

So yeah idk. In a weird space.

 

Would you ever go back into the automotive field?

yeah restaurants always kind of suck to work for, except in really rare circumstances. So I would avoid that whenever possible.

but yeah I totally understand dude. It’s a struggle I feel intimately familiar with and one that often involves me diving into things just to avoid contemplating how shitty life is and how most days I don’t wanna be here.

 

Idk if I would or not. It'd have to be a really ideal situation.
