Finally home after Christmas with family. They’re so wonderful but my nephew is a tiny crawling terror at the moment and that was exhausting. Sweetest boy but just wants nothing more than to grab whatever sharp objects he can find and eat them. His sister was literally the most reasonable baby in the world and never really got into stuff like that, so we’re all still adjusting to how closely he needs to be watched.

My niece did really well opening presents. We go one at a time and she was pretty patient waiting for her turns, and when she got overwhelmed by the process she just took breaks and played alone in her room. I kind of wanted to do that myself at a few points...

Everybody was also really happy with their presents this year and that was great. My favorite that I gave was a locket that I made for my mom with Philip and Elizabeth Jennings inside since she’s even more obsessed with The Americans than me and there is ZERO merch available.

My personal favorites were a purple KitchenAid stand mixer that I have been dreaming about for like a decade but no one had been able to splurge on before, the Online Ceramics A24 collab shirt for The Lighthouse, and both the Sopranos Family and Bob’s Burgers cookbooks. I was pretty surprised by most of what I got and that was great.

I hope everyone here had good days!! There’s no way I’ll be able to see all of what I missed but I’m going to assume it was all happy and lovely!
