I hate that the only way smaller bands ever stand a chance of getting coverage on Pitchfork is if Ian Cohen reviews them. Like yay I'm glad a band I like is getting that opportunity but also Ew no he sucks

My mom has been doing that for like a decade. Going to shows when you’re a wholesome looking 50/60 something woman means everyone thinks you’re someone in the band’s mom and wants to be nice to you.

 

I feel like the only person who doesn't treat it like a single entity lol

 

I find it funny that Ian Cohen used to lurk on the emo thread on here but then I think we criticised himva few times lol

 

I find that half of each lineup for that festival has me like WHO?

 

I couldn’t name a single person who works for Pitchfork.
