No one got hurt from what I can tell, but now everyone is insufferable talking about how it was “peaceful” and good while ignoring the huge amounts of out of town nazis and creeps who were walking around with zero issue and the fact that most people were too scared to even leave the house while they’re around. But sure, it was safe and lovely and totally a great thing that needed to happen.

 

I think once the Nazis, Proud Boys, Alex Jones, and the rest of those far right dudes started coming into the picture, the entire point of that rally became moot as it was just an opportunity for them to promote their hateful bullshit and grift.

most cities i've traveled to have adopted those and we love them. so easy to use and available ANYWHERE. i don't see it ever catching on in a city like NY though. entirely too busy/congested.

I don't think the average American is ever gonna rise up and fight back sadly. Like I'd have conversation with my recent ex about politics and she was not only indifferent to basic inequality around her but in her words, nothing is gonna change so why bother? That is the American way. As long as the masses can sated with creature comforts and not fight for scraps of bread, they will not care.
