Here’s kinda a run down of the pros and cons of getting one.

 

yep, between the bike cost itself and the monthly fees, its not in the question at all right now

Yeah it literally happened while I was pulling onto my street so now I’m just kinda too nervous to go anywhere lol

 

I always associate Peloton with this thread, my mom wants one too haha

you subscribe to the classes. thats really the main part of it, you take live classes with a trainer and other people. its like being at a spin class in your home.

 

i also dont have a high floor corner city apartment with floor to ceiling windows to put it in front of tho so why even get one

 

yeah I definitely won’t be able to afford one for a while as we want to update other parts of our place, but they do financing with a company called affirm that we got our nectar mattress and they are pretty nice to utilize, have zero interest fees and what not.

 

Most of those pros would be huge cons for me, lol. I would much rather just have a normal exercise bike that isn’t tracking me or sending me high fives from randos watching what I do.

 

Are you allowed to just get the bike and not do that?

 

Go get an ikea clothes rack it will serve the same purpose.

I actually dont know - but i probably wouldnt spend the money on the peloton if i didnt want to use that feature

you can do a normal bike for one tenth the cost haha

I also find classes anxiety provoking

 

Get a decent road bike and an indoor trainer

 

riding outdoors on long island is also an absolute death wish with how people drive, so id rather spend the money on an indoor bike than an outdoor bike tbh

 

I think I want a mountain bike

I really enjoy biking outside. I don't live in NY though.
