Yeah, viewing everything from the lens of an observer right now is having far less of an impact than if I had been active here while it was going down I’m sure.

And I am fully aware of the case of stolen identity and am fucking pissed that years of paying $thousands$ for lifelock could not have prevented this

 

I think my longest break was around 3-4 months and I can’t say that it necessarily helped me to center myself and relieve depression, but it was nice to not just have one more stressor in my life (not cuz of any thread specifically but more of the feeling that I need to obsessively keep up with everything in the dozens of threads I frequent)

 

I think you owe it to us to name 1 band that is brought up in here that is worse than them

My friends from back in high school and I were all really into that scene that We Came as Romans are from, but I was never as specifically into WCAR as they were for some reason. Anyway, they all decided to get “Brotherhood” tattooed on them (referencing some lyric or whatever that is sung during a breakdown) when we turned 18 and I was the only one that bowed out and I am so glad, because the optics of a “brotherhood” tattoo in this day and age is not great haha

 

I definitely like a fair amount of their music though they also make complete sense on that lineup
