    My only memories of using a portable CD player are listening to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. I was shortly upgraded to a 256mb MP3 player when my parents realised how into music I was lol

    Honestly the way I got into bands was super confusing and like an ouroboros where I can’t remember what fed into what at this point. When I was a teeny tiny kid I loved The Monkees, and that may have genuinely been the first full albums I listened to.

    My brother loved Green Day so I grew up with them even though I never really considered them “my” band until I was a lot older. I think the Tony Hawk soundtracks were heavily involved, and unironically some of Adam Brody’s favorites listed in teen magazines, ahahahahaha.
