I feel off of Mayday HARD when Anywhere But Here came out and was bad but I got back into them when Black Lines came out and I heard it was produced by Mike Sapone (for reasons which should be obvious given the time). And then I went and listened to the self-titled and Monsters In the Closet and realized I had been missing out on some good tunes. And Sunnyland was also great.

I went into a MP crowd before they played one night when I was like 23 or something and realized I was too old when the screaming from the 14 year old girls was so deafening I couldn't hear and I was being crushed, like they weren't even on yet

I instead went and sat at the bar and bought one of the member a drink, can't remember who at this point lol

the self-titled has Oh Well, Oh Well so it’s hard to not pick that as their best on the strength of that song alone

that said, Black Lines is their best
