One time me and some friends watched The Butterfly Effect on shrooms and it was so ridiculous I couldn’t stop laughing through almost the whole movie lol

 

I thought this said "why did i.." and I was like IAN

 

it’s this really surreal animated movie about dreams kinda. very cool to watch in that state of mind

 

Ohh yeah same haha but that’s good! I did have one legitimately bad time but I was able to recover lol and other than that had a few bad moments but able to bounce back quickly lol

When I first started doing shrooms (18) I talked with an old friend and discovered they had done them too and I got excited to talk about it and was like yeah the uncontrollable laughing nonstop is just so fun they deadass told me “oh I don’t laugh uncontrollably on shrooms, I view it as more of a ~spirituaaal experience~“

And I’d never been more judgingly confused in my life

Oh yeah for sure. But when you’re a teenager especially I just literally don’t understand how you don’t laugh hysterically at least a little bit bc it’s just completely uncontrollable. And this person was younger than me btw
Also I just meant other people have made me judgingly confused not related to drugs haha not sure if that was confusing

 

I have laughed, cried, had spiritual awakenings and experienced pure hellscapes on shrooms

it’s a very multi-faceted drug

It’s just incredibly pretentious to at like 17 be like yeah I use this drug ONLY for spiritual awakenings as if you have any actual control over how you respond to it lmao

ngl this is my experience w it but it's mostly a byproduct of ending up in my head and not really interacting w the world around me (until recently) and processing things I wouldn't normally process. I'm basically depression free afterwards to varying extents and it rules

 

Ooh true I understand that. And yeah I can imagine if you’re not social or anything it’s different but even when I’ve been in my own head or alone I’ve still found myself literally laughing out loud bc it’s such an uncontrollable reaction. Like laughing at my own thoughts sometimes lol
