This is good. Wasn’t a fan of them or Cameron solo when I saw vampire weekend in June so I missed their set. Sad.

Transition from something like Trinidad into Cobra fuckin rocks man. This gets better every listen.

3D has some insane highs and a few songs i don't care for. the highs on it might be the best cameron's ever put out but HM and this are more consistent

 

Something about Cameron's vocals on this one made me go from "okay I can handle this" on 3DC and HM to "the way he sings is probably my favorite part of the song" for at least half of this record

 

Long Island City is a triumph. Insane stuff

100 Horses, Bow Down, title track, Taxes. Great record imo

 

Every song is legitimately great but Cobra is blowing me away every time. Direct hit on the my feelings equivalent of a funny bone

 

Great album. Really love the vocals on this one.

 

I really did not like Heavy Metal, but this is pretty good, especially the run from the title track through “Bow Down”. That one is my favorite on first listen, probably because it sounds like Spoon.

The opener was cool too, not what I expected. And the last 2 tracks each have an excellent second half.
