damn...i haven't been moved/magnetized/transfixed by a live performance in that way in idk how long. felt like i was getting to be part of a significant cultural moment.

Back in constant rotation for me. Favorite album in the last how many years I do not know.

 

Last night was a romp incredible set

 

The Austin show ripped. Incredibly high energy throughout from the band. It was very easy to tell which songs were popular on TikTok by the number of phones that went up at their start lol. I hope we get another headlining tour next year and not just festival dates.

 

Between this and Heavy Metal (which I didn’t hear until early this year) I think like 40% of all the music I’ve listened to this year has been Cameron-related. He’s got me in a chokehold.

 

I’m feeling like 5% turd in the punch bowl-y as my opinion crystallizes around Getting Killed being my least favorite of the non debut stuff but it’s still so good. And prob has the highest highs. It’s just Heavy Metal is a completely perfect record and very few albums are ever going to get the phenomenon of completely organic growing on me with no preconceived expectations that 3D Country got, so this one didn’t have a chance from the start. If anything it’s a testament to how fucking great they are to even consider any kind of rank where GK isn’t at the the top.

Also, tickets for Brooklyn really never came down. At all. Some of the crazier prices I've seen in a while.

Yeah surprised me as well, this never typically happens.

 

Had never heard of this band until this album was recommended on a non-music related podcast. Randomly checked it yesterday and have listened A LOT since then.

What a fucking album. People saying how good the older ones are has me excited.

 

Was it the lonely island podcast

 

It was not. It was a BBC one actually with two comedians called John Robins & Ellis James.

Didn’t even know The Lonely Island had a pod, that’s cool.

You all should get into Dove Ellis, who is the opener for like half of the Geese tour. I just finally checked him out and wow. He is releasing his debut album in December.
