Gave this a spin today. Holy shit, a perfect mix of throwback and new sounds. Gift Horse is a banger

 

Been on repeat since Friday

 

First listen right now. Opening two tracks are massive, this is great so far.

 

I'll felt this way since it came out in 2020 but Ad Nauseum is such a "Glassjaw" track I love it.

I mean, the whole thing is kind of Glassjaw aping but I'm cool with it because there's not a ton of bands even attempting that, much less doing it as well as it's done here. I hear some letlive. at points here too.

I noticed on my 2nd listen. I was like damn dude way to bring the mood down. But the track by track made it clear to me that's the point.

We distinctly intended on the album sounding like the world ending and collapsing around you only to be left with the remnants of that vocal and eerie noises and guitars lingering to carry out the last notes.

 

Never heard of this band until this week - Absolutely phenomenal stuff

 

This came up as a recommended album on my Spotify and put it on on a whim. I am blown away. It sounds like the entire run for cover/no sleep scene from 2010-2014 got together to make a glassjaw/thursday album. I have listened probably 5-6 times today and am shouting at everyone I know to listen.

 

Yes! We gotta spread the word.

black marigold was on my discover weekly and i liked it instantly and got letlive vibes. Exciting to read all these comments about the album. A friend of mine recommended Gatherers to me a couple years ago because of my love for mewithoutYou (I think? Maybe because of their edgier moments when Aaron hollers) but I never gave them the time of day. I also have never really gotten into Glassjaw so depending on this goes, maybe I should spend some time with them too.

Just checking this out. Nearing the end now, pretty cool! This is pretty much exactly the record I expected/wanted Letlive to follow Fake History with

 

Yes this is sounding excellent. I hear some Glassjaw, mewithoutYou, Brand New and a lot of the samen vibe of the previous album. Not sure if I prefer it over We Are Alive Beyond Repair. But it's a tough competition. Hope they make it to Europe for a tour.
