Maybe it's that the guitar isn't front and center like it was on Black & Blu - an issue with the mix/production. In any case, none of the songs themselves, the melodies, I cared for either. So weird

This album is legit shockingly good. I've kept following him since The Bright Lights EP grabbed me and he seemed pretty lost on his previous albums but this record is full of fire and passion. His guitar solos aren't just pyrotechnics here but you FEEL them.

Having some time to digest it, this album is way too long for my taste, but some good stuff.

cannot recommend catching him live strongly enough. zapata is a monster on guitar.
