GoY has been all I've been listening to lately. Both albums, the EP, the live album, Youtube videos. All so damn good.
I haven’t listened to this in a while, but I’m seeing them next week so I decided to have a listen. Man, I forgot how great they are. Also forgot how hopeful they make me feel, they invite me to believe that I can pick up my life from where it is now, and do better. I really needed that today. Can’t wait to see them on a goddamn Monday night!!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D2XKQXK/?tag=absolutepunk-20 Heads up for anyone in the US looking to purchase Go Farther on vinyl. Down to $27 on Amazon. Previously I hadn't been able to find it for less than $40.
the one negative thing I will say about this is that it seems like a weird choice to throw all the ballads on the record into one six-song, 27-minute stretch
I'm pretty bummed that I had bought tickets/planned to see them here in Chicago but they canceled. They rescheduled to like the week after my baby is to be born soooooooo will most likely miss out. Oh well...
They covered "Streets of Philadelphia" at Underground Arts and I've been looking for a video of it to pop up.
I played this a TON last year, don't listen to it that frequently anymore but every time I do it still just blows me away, both from a music perspective and also that this website hasn't just eaten this up.
I feel like LP3 could be huge for them in the US. They seem to have earned a lot of respect in the music industry (Dave Grohl and Dustin Kensrue, among others). If it lives up to expectation I could see them getting a lot more "mainstream" hype outside of corners of the internet like this.
They have put in some serious hard yards touring and could be right on the edge of exploding into one of the biggest current bands, They have the energy on stage, charisma and quality songs to take them there
