Where can you watch?
MTV Unplugged Melbourne: Gang Of Youths | MTV
May or may not work pending where you are.
yeah nothing is loading, damn!
Sorry dude! Hopefully it’ll be released properly soon!
Song from Unplugged released today on Spotify.
For me in the US, at least. I don't know if there's more released elsewhere.
They also released more US tour dates!
Extremely late to the party here, but I'm slowly but surely falling in love with this band. And I haven't even checked out their previous album and EP yet! Been too caught up in this album, along with all the fantastic live videos, live covers etc.
Same. I only got on earlier this year after they had 3 songs finish in a countdown of the top 100 songs of 2017 as voted by listeners to a prominent radio station here so I figured I better give them a listen. Need to listen to the earlier stuff so that I know all the material come seeing them live in November!
Oh man, wait til you guys hear Magnolia!
I've had a bit of a listen to Positions. Looked up the setlist from the Go Further album tour and had a listen to the older songs that they played. Still need to properly bunker down and listen though.
Let Me Be Clear is very good
Magnolia was fantastic, no doubt. Been going through Positions and Let Me Be Clear today, and there's a lot to love here as well. At the same time there's a lot to unpack/take in, both lyrically and musically. Don't see how I'll be able to listen to anything but this band for a while.
went on a mini bender last night listening to interviews with david and then the video for magnolia and it was crushing
Ugh it’s expensive
Welcome to Aussie prices!
I know it was released in 2017 in AUS. But is Go Farther in Lightness considered a 2017 or 2018 release in the US?
It was released in the US in 2017, at least it was put up on streaming services in 2017. No idea if the physical release was different for some reason.
I had a physical copy of it in 2017 in the US.
Ah ok. Thanks! This will exclude it from AOTY 2018, but what a great band to emerg this year.
Yeah I jumped on the bandwagon this year too once they had 3 songs in the top 10 of the Hottest 100 of 2017 back in January.
I quite like the idea of having an "Album of the year that wasn't released this year".
I think this year, at least the second half, is roughly on par with or slightly better than last year and GFIL would still probably be top 2. 3rd at absolute worst.
I was just scrolling though the Thrice AMA on reddit and saw this. Wow!
