This album is absolutely incredible. Listened to it again this morning and it’s very close to perfect.
yeah Dave is the poet of a generation/the voice for pretty much every disenfranchised, disinterested early 20s Australian like myself I've ever met/crazily attractive???
If I was half as good-looking as Dave I would be at least twice as attractive as myself on my best day
What Can I do if the Fire Goes Out is one of my favorite songs of the last 5 years, easy. Love this album!
i actually haven’t listened to this band since a song from the positions showed up on my discover weekly and i just happened upon this thread so maybe i need to revisit and explore
i had damn near burned myself out on the new mwy ep so i let this play on repeat this past saturday night and wow i have been floored in the best way
They were the first to do MTV Unplugged in Australia! Played on tv a few days ago, hopefully it’s up online in full soon
so i told my boss about this album and he listened to it yesterday and didnt report back but just sent me an im today about it and i guess he listened more and more
"Cos nothin tuned me in To absurdity as fast as a gravestone with the name of a baby who has passed" like alright Dave leave me some tears for every other band releasing music
i haven't spent enough time with the lyrics yet and he uses apple music instead of spotify so i think he had the lyrics on hand as he was listening
It's the first song that really broke me down the first time I heard this album (and every time since, lol). Do Not Let Your Spirit Wane breaks down the defenses and then Persevere just destroys me
i think its very interesting that they met at hillsong and then reading some of the lyrics that pertain to god like: But God is full of grace and his faithfulness is vast There is safety in the moments when the shit has hit the fan Not some vindictive motherfucker, nor is he shitty at his job very honest
