yeah I listened to summerteeth today as well as relistening to YHF which I haven't heard in years, both ruled. gotta dive in further

I've listened to Shot in the Arm (both bands version) probably 100 times this week and I'm not sick of it, perfect song

Lol my Spotify wrapped was all Gang of Youths shit. Was in the top 0.5% listeners for them

 

This is easily my number 1 of the year, no contest.

 

This album was basically all I listened to from its release to maybe April

 

It felt like a long time between albums, but it definitely paid off with this record. The story woven throughout the album about Dave’s father, the lyrics, vocals, musicianship, production and number of tracks released in the era really made Angel special. Well done.

 

Returner was my most listened to song this year, wake of your leave was my no.5

Same here, 3000 minutes and top 0.5%. Not surprised at all.

This is definitely one of my top albums this year, but I haven't been able to handle it since losing my mother this fall.

In the Wake of Your Leave was my #1 song but TWY ended up being GOY for most listened-to artist. This album is still my personal #1 of the year and it isn't really close.

 

In the wake of your leave was also my #1, which surprised me because I listened to angel of 8th Avenue a shit ton before the album even came out.

 

angel came out in the summer last year, it was on my top 5 last year, so I started listening to the other singles more in the lead up to the record coming out

 

This has been my #1 band since Go Farther was released, no contest. Hope they keep making music, even if I have to wait 5 years between albums.

 

Let’s just hope it’s not 5 years though and there are some positive inspirations.

 

This was my aoty until the new Wonder Years just blew me away. A very solidified second place.
