the combo of the banjo & the beat in unison reminds me of the first Freelance Whales LP so much

This is really hitting me hard.

 

I could not get into their firstlast album, I'll have to go back and revisit it, but this one is fantastic from the jump.

This is what I’ve always heard as well. I remember somebody saying Craig Finn, but I don’t really hear that either.

 

he sounds nothing like craig lol

 

Doesn’t sound like Brian at all to me

 

His voice sometimes reminds me of the lead singer of the christian band Future of Forestry

 

To me he just sounds like Dave *shrug*

 

Never listened to this band before but woah this rules. Super on board. Need a few more listens but this could be my potential AOTY already.

 

I think the problem for me is that it’s so earnest that it is cheesy. Some truly cool “rock” moments and then a lot of cringe. I want to like this. I do.

 

no issue. I can see it, I really can. I just don’t feel that way & I can’t explain why but I’m happy about it.
