A little disappointment in not getting to see The Blackfish die.

What even was Edmure's motivation? Only no longer being captive? I don't really get it. And they don't even show the fight...?

If this is what Arya's story in the books will come to I'm severely disappointed.

I mean, they tried to do that earlier this season and it was dreadful. They did it again here and, once again, it was dreadful.

What was the rumor that cersei looked into?

  8. I enjoy the fact that despite allowing slavery to remain in the cities (at least, temporarily) ... Tyrion is doing a wonderful job of breaking the chains that still hold GW and Mis back from really behaving as free humans. He is breaking their mental chains, so to speak. I don't think it'd be included were it not important in the future.

Seems likely that it is the wildfire.

I'm happy with what she did with the Waif, just a little sad they skipped out on two fights. I think Jaqen maybe intended to Arya back home. Since that's the only motive I could think to put her through all that.

Does anyone know what the rumor Cersei was talking about?
Edit: "messages have been posted to this thread.."
    Nvm. It was asked.

I don't think so, I remember she asked him to look into something specifically last season

  12. I feel really robbed by not seeing the Blackfish or the Arya/Waif fight.

Then again, I'd be pissed if I had to watch some random bloke take down the Blackfish as well.

For some reason I didn't get the feeling that was all we will see from Jaqen. Something in his look/the fact that he's letting her leave/go home. My guess is the Faceless Men are at least partly aware of the threat from the North, and also maybe have plans to assist Arya? Idk. Just didn't seem like that was the last of Jaqen.

Just so much "ugggggh" right now over the Blackfish. dammmmmmn itttttt.

I'll agree that the Blackfish's sendoff was rather lazy.

Ready to see Dany roast to some masters and then get the fuck out of dodge and head to Westeros. And I'm assuming Beric still being alive is the nail in the coffin for LSH, sorry to the die-hard truthers.

    SNOWBOWL NEXT WEEK!!!

Oh yeah, the first guy who the Hound cut down was definitely the one youtube guy that does all the character accent impressions right?

I'd be cool with Sandor joining the Brotherhood. Just not sure what they'd do right now without LSH.

Judging by the dialogue, it seems like they're some of the few that got the memo on the White Walkers. Could be taking a trip north.

Which would mean a gathering of the Hound, Brienne, Sansa, Jon, Davos, Pod, Beric, Thoros, Tormund, and maybe even Arya in the North at some point in the future*

*Not a chance all of these characters are all still alive to actually all be in the same area at the same time lol

    What a fantastic episode.

Cersei resorting to violence finally felt like she was "back" in all her awfulness. Tommen being the figurehead of the Sparrow in response was incredible... but also makes me very sure that he's gonna die before this season is over. Really interested to what this means to The Hound and The Mountain now.

Arya going back to one of the first poses that Syrio taught her before slicing the candle was perfect for me. I don't need to see Arya fight the Waif. She's Arya damn Stark of Winterfell.

I loved the scene with Tyrion, Missandei, and Grey Worm. I love that he's trying and as the poster said above, still calling out places where they still follow rules they haven't set themselves.

I'm surprised the Blackfish didn't kill Edmure, but I'm not upset he's gone like some of you seem to be. The war between the Lannisters and the Starks isn't really important with the upcoming war, so I'm glad not too much time was spent at Riverrun. I just wish that had been the reasoning over Jaime threatening to kill Edmure's wife and kid.

Hahaha yes! I knew I recognized him. Thought he looked like Renly a little bit at first but that was definitely him.

Also yeah I'm on the positive side of the Mereen stuff this week...So fucking awkward and hilarious. Missandei drinking and getting drunk, and Grey Worm dead panning like that....hilarious.

  21. If they borrow Littlefinger's bullet train then they could make it in time for next week's battle.

    Some thoughts:
    - so happy that this episode put to rest all the dumb Arya theories as well as LSH being a thing in the show

-I don't care that they're villians, I love Cersei/Qyburn/Robert Strong. Like I don't care who they have to massacre each week to get themselves out of the situation that they're in, I'm all for it.

-Hoping the Blackfish isn't actually dead. I recall in the book him jumping into the river and being taken for dead so I guess we'll see. Although if he is, his goodbye to Brienne seemed like a good send-off.

edit: oh also: I wanted to spike my remote onto the floor over how cool the battle next week looks

Quite funny how all the Arya rumors that were floating around, including Syrio being the guy standing behind The Waif, that guy in blue being that one guy I can't remember the name of, and Arya having a doppelgänger all were defunct. Only disappointment for me was just really not seeing the Waif get cut down, but I also think it was the only way for Arya to beat her.

I think seeing both Jaime and Cersei returning to form this episode was really good, but it doesn't look positive for either of them to me anymore. I also think that gloomy goodbye to Brienne marks the last either of them will see each other alive.

Everything with The Hound was great.

I do wonder where Varys is headed, and if anyone knows please tell me.

Lastly, Podric and Bron interacting stole the episode for me.

Excited for Cersei in the future. She's one of my favorites if only because of how interesting and villainous she can be.
