Like if we could be so lucky to watch Wun Wun squeeze Ramsey's neck until his head pops off, that'd be ideal.

Am I the only one thinks Rickon is already dead?

When I said the battle would leave them dead, I think it's either that yes, we will see that he is already dead, or he will be executed in front of Jon/Sansa.

Yeah idk, I don't think Davos is going to die, I just don't really know where his character goes from here or what he even does during the fight, so that will be interesting.

And yeah, Wun Wun is going to take like a thousand people out with him so that'll be cool

idk, I think they'll do that tropey thing where he gets executed in front of Jon and Sansa just to serve as motivation for them.

or he's already dead, idk there's not really much you can do with Rickon and offing him would make it way simpler for Sansa to be the Queen in the North after it all settles

  7. Leaked season spoilers have said that only one Stark dies this season. I think its safe to assume that its going to be Rickon. Which means Arya, Sansa, and Bran are safe.

Wun Wun will die in heroic fashion during the BotB.

Also, as far as legitimizing Jon... I don't think its completely out of the realm of possibility that Tommen could be coaxed into legitimizing Jon as a Stark. Cersei, Jaime, Tywin, and Joffrey were the anti-Stark folks, and they're all either dead or powerless at the moment. The HS could easily influence Tommen to do something like this.

Robb had the authority to legitimize Jon, wouldn't then Sansa be able to do the same thing assuming she ends up Queen in the North?

edit: or just as the head of House Stark and heir to Winterfell

Think she'd have to be made queen, don't think heads of houses have the power alone to do it.

The question is, would she do it once given the power?

Of course, if the possibilities of the Tower of Joy happen, she could legitimize him knowing he has a bigger kingdom to take, leaving her as Queen in the North regardless......heh

  10. Robb was proclaimed King in the North as the North was revolting against the Crown and basically operating as an independent. Currently, the North is back under control of the Crown therefore no one has King's powers up there. If Sansa were to retake Winterfell and get the backing of the other Northern houses, she'd still have to wage war against the Crown in order to claim Queenship.

ah ok got it, but do heads of houses have the authority to legitimize bastards or that has to come from the crown directly?

and @David87, yeah that'll be interesting as either Bran would have to come back or Howland Reed show up to prove Jon's parentage, so it'll be interesting to see how those conflict.

  12. Legitimization has to be a royal degree

I think it has to come from a crown, not necessarily the one in Kings Landing. Though obviously you'd have to have the power to actually enforce the proclamation once you make it, and/or enough people would have to accept it. Like Stannis promised Jon would be legitimized, but he also knew the only way that would work is if the North accepted him as a Stark, which would simultaneously give him an army large enough to seem like a legit king.

So I def think Robb at his height had the power and authority to do it even though his Kingdom wasn't THE kingdom, but unfortunately that was never addressed in the show. If Sansa consolidates power as Queen in the North and they continue to operate independent from Kings Landing rule, I don't see why she wouldn't be able to do it.

Yeah, I'm really, really curious to see how Bran gets that information out to the people that need to know it. Maybe Howland Reed shows up at Winterfell after the battle in episode 10 on his own to relay the truth?

@DontTellMom, @David87 haha yeah I just looked it up, Roose asks the crown to legitimize Ramsay, Catelyn tells a story to Talisa about asking Ned to legitimize Jon (through Robert), and Stannis offered to legitimize Jon, but at the time he's proclaiming himself as the rightful king

  15. I think the story that Catelyn tells Talisa is interesting. She basically says that Jon was really sick when he was an infant and Catelyn prayed to The Seven for him to live, promising to love him and to ask Ned to get him legitimized. Jon did in fact get better, but Catelyn didn't keep her end of the promise.

I wonder what would have happened had Catelyn asked Ned to legitimize him, with Ned knowing his true parentage. Would Ned have done it? Would he have come clean to Catelyn? Of course we'll never know... but its fun to think about.

Still waiting for the Tower of Joy flashback to be finished, probably a season ending scene if the huge theory is confirmed.

Even if R+L=J, does that mean he could just stroll into the throne room and take it over? I know it wouldn't happen that easily, but you know what I mean.

All these theories about Jon being legitimized as if there is a legal way to secede from the nation lol. They could literally just go "fuck it, that's our king."

    I'm Back.

If Jon's theory comes true, wouldn't Dany have to be in power to give him the proper name? Only a ruling person with that namesake can legitimize someon, right?

I just saw a screenshot taken from when Arya was walking through those alleyways where she goes to pay for passage to Westeros. There is a girl standing with her back to the camera, same height with almost the exact same outfit she wore before with her hair up. So maybe it wasn't Arya that got stabbed? IDK.

    I'm Back.

    No?

So if Jon came across Euron for example, since he's the king of the Iron Islands, he could request for king Tommen to declare him Jon Stark?
