Jimmy Hoffa because Gendry is presumed dead but never confirmed?

The Euron stuff is pretty fascinating. Seems pretty OP. I don't think the show could pull of someone being introduced in S6 and end up the "winner" in the end. Idk how early he came up in books.

  4. Even if this theory comes true I'm not sure if that means Euron "wins", unless I'm missing/overlooking something here. He is poised to serve as the catalyst of the end ... one who is insane and bold enough to bring paramount devastation to the whole of Westeros. But does he accomplish that? Or does he become the ultimate enemy who all the quarreling Westerosi houses must join together to defeat?

Robert Kirkman criticizing George RR Martin for allowing HBO to make changes to his story has to be a joke right? Has Kirkman seen his show?

the comic hasn't been that great in years and the show hasn't been great since, idk, the pilot? Kirkman doesn't really have a leg to stand on here

I just meant as far as changing stuff goes since the show just botched what was arguably the defining moment of the series at this point.

If the finale was the first time you were disgusted by the show, I can't help you there.

haha I know I just thought it was funny in that It's weird to me seeing Kirkman criticize a writer for his pace that allowed the adapted show to overtake it while the walking dead comic has meandered for sometimes months on end without anything really happening or like season 2 being the go-to example for an entire season basically going nowhere.

But yeah I totally agree with you, I think it's an insane comparison to draw

I thought the criticism was that Martin told the show runners the ending, and Kirkman thinks he should have flipped off the show and said you go and make it up, good luck. I still think its a stupid criticism but that's how I read it.

    Regular

They said since the beginning it would be 7 seasons, and HBO has split a season in two before (Sopranos, Entourage, ect) and this is their biggest show, so no surprises there. I can't believe there's only 13 episodes left after this season. Gonna keep getting crazier with each episode starting with S6 7 or 8 I imagine.

We've already seen 2 trials by combat, correct? Both with Tyrion as the defendant. No need to see another.

Here's hoping for a Trial of Seven instead.

    Here's a question for everyone:

When the show is all said and done, what are the one or two questions that MUST be answered in order for you to completely accept the story for what it is, and be happy with everything? Like with most stories, we never get all of the answers, but what needs to be answered for you?

I want the living Starks to be reunited in Winterfell, even if some of them aren't staying there. It'd bring a nice full circle closure.

Other than that, I don't really have any over all plot desires for the story. Though, I'd love to see certain characters get Martin's form of justice (aka killed).

I want the Barratheon children's true lineage to be put out there and ultimately discrediting the remaining Lannisters, thus removing them from their power over King's Landing.

I mean Tommen is prob gonna be dead soon anyway, I don't think it will matter as much.

As for questions, idk none really? A living Stark kid reunion would be nice, but they've already put so much in motion as far as explaining some things. Plus so many of the big questions are tied to fan theories and speculation that it's hard to tell what's relevant. Would rather just let it play out and take it as that instead of being the guy waiting for books 6 and 7 to come out and be mad that they never definitively confirmed or denied the 'Bolt-on" theory.

or maybe I'm just no fun.

Maybe "question" was a wrong way of putting it.

What is the thing you have to see/hear before the show is over for it to feel complete?

Dany does not unite the seven kingdoms and instead allows them to rule themselves. Queen in the North and Queen of the Isles.

They aren't confirmed but apparently they come from a source that has yet to be wrong in the last two seasons, but either way, spoilers for the rest of the season are out there.

Can't wait until Sunday, everything is leading toward the Clegane Bowl finally happening.

It should be pointed out that in the book Septon Maribald (sp?) talks about broken men with Brienne and Pod. The title of Sunday's episode is The Broken Man and Maribald is going to be in the episode...sooooooooo.

None of those are spoilers by the way as the casting is listed on IMDB for Maribald and the rest is speculation.

    The Real Azor Ahai

I just read the E Apocalypse. It'd be really cool to see all of that, and it definitely makes sense, but like someone here said earlier, does anyone actually think that this is how it'll play out in the show? I feel like they brought Euron in too late and haven't placed enough attention on him yet for it to be true

I'll admit I skimmed the theory, but isn't it basically a big Kracken type thing rising from the depths and wiping people out?
