Was pretty whatever on this episode. I enjoyed the Bran/Benjen stuff, as well as the scenes with Sam and his family, but that was about it. I'm a little disappointed in how Ary'a s story has played out on the show. I feel like she hasn't really done much of anything aside from scenes of training with Waif and now she's just gonna leave. I mean, I guess that sparks my interest in seeing where her story will take her, but it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth after she's spent a season and a half at the House of Black and White. And I see that they're finally sending Jaime in the direction of his story in the books, but I also see that he's still head over heels for Cersei, so I feel massively indifferent towards his character in the show. And that scene with Dany felt completely shoehorned in there. I felt like like the Bran/Benjen scene at the end would have been a more satisfying way to close out the episode than Dany giving another one of her speeches.

Looking forward to seeing what happens next week with Sansa, Davos, and Jon though.

  2. Dany is turning into Stan Marsh with all these speeches.

The Hound will return and everyone will be hype on CleganeBowl but then they will probably troll us and not do it.

The way the college football playoff is set up now, they'll probably end up in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.

  7. I am willing to bet that Cersei's trial by combat never happens because some crazy shit goes down in Kings Landing which includes/ends with her having to bury another child.

So basically is the High Sparrow dies, her trial doesn't happen? I'm not spoiler tagging this because it's speculation and I've done plenty of it today in this thread.

I'm hoping that head septon(sp?) bitch gets her ass handed to her in some way if this battle happens. What the hell is her name anyway?

  9. Her name is Septa Unella.

The reason I tagged what I said is that it's a little more than just speculation. It came from a pretty long list of spoilers that were released awhile ago, and so far everything else mentioned on the list has been true in the show.

And regarding why, it says that the trial by combat "is denied". That leads me to believe that the court will not allow a tbc to take place. One of the likely reasons why would be the faith finding out who Robert Strong really is/was... they have a pretty strong stance against necromancy, so they probably would not approve of the undead championing for Cersei. Another explanation might be Tommen forbidding it (I'm not sure if he as the power to do so though) for some reason or another.

The hound was left for dead in the river lands. The show is now returning to the river lands with brienne, Jamie, the blackfish, and the Freys, etc. I think it's safe to say he will turn up in this plot somehow. We also heard that the brotherhood will return this season. They are also around about the river lands And that Ian McShane is playing a character (septon maribald) for one epsiode and will have a part in bringing a character back. maybe the hound even died and Thoros revived him. Then it could be undead Gregor vs undead Sandor.

Edit: river lands or near the riverlands

Would be hilarious if the two men fighting are both undead.

Bitch is a reductive and sexist word that doesn't do a whole lot for any conversation. There are more productive and interesting ways to talk about characters.

Posts like this are typically worth some points, but I'm not looking to do that. Just know that referring to a woman as a bitch, in any context on this site, is a no go. Maybe leave that to your facebook wall or something. Just not here.

  18. drstrong

    I'm Back.

She's referred in such a way in the show, if not worse.

We're talking about a show that is arguably the most womanizing thing to have ever been on TV. By the logic above, this show shouldn't even be mentioned here.

I don't think this forum abides by Westerosi morals

We can watch a show that has sexist characters or immoral actions or even is sexist itself and talk about it without bringing harmful language into it.
