Ahhh, well I guess that's what I get for skimming...looking forward to seeing him on screen nonetheless!
Here's something: "Durran would have none of it. A seventh castle he raised, most massive of all. Some said the children of the forest helped him build it, shaping the stones with magic; others claimed that a small boy told him what he must do, a boy who would grow up to be Bran the Builder."
Additionally, Arya and Ned from Season1 after Bran gets paralyzed: Arya Stark: "He wants to be a knight of the Kingsguard. He can't be one now, can he?" Eddard Stark: "No. But someday he could be lord of a holdfast or sit on the King's council. Or he might raise castles, like Brandon the Builder." However, "There are at least eight distinct historical characters named "Brandon Stark" in the novels, though this is stretched across thousands of years. Within the relatively recent history of House Stark, two important characters are named "Brandon Stark": Ned Stark's older brother Brandon Stark, who was killed by the Mad King Aerys II Targaryen, and Ned Stark's second youngest son Brandon Stark. Ned's son was specifically named in memory of his uncle, who died about seven years before Ned's son Brandon was born."
It's turning out to be so painfully obvious what's going on. So much so that we're probably purposely being led down the wrong path.
What if the Mad King is mad because of Bran? See what I did there? ;) But I'm having trouble wrapping my head around how Bran could be all the Brans from the past. He has the ability to see into the past and from what we know so far people can hear him and he can warg people in the past. He doesn't have the ability to be a person and do things. So he wouldn't be the Brans of the past but rather he would influence the Brans of the past to do things.
Oh I know. This time travel shit is probably the least likely element anyone could have thought to be included in the show.
My head has been exploding over the time travel stuff. Hodor had to have been there as not Willis in some timeline right? Maybe they were just friends and he wanted to help?
I don't think it was a matter of timelines but rather a predetermined fate that needed to be set in motion by the Three Eyed Raven (by training Bran and sending him back).
So the theory is that Bran is a time traveler who goes to the past, becomes his own ancestor and ends up saving humanity? *inserts suspicious Fry from Futurama meme
Essentially the people have stories of Bran the (insert title) throughout history. Well it's actually Bran going back and doing things during his visions. I guess he becomes so powerful to the point people can see him (which makes sense due to the story of all the Brans being confused for one another). If he goes back to different time periods in say a week of his present time, he could have influenced and interacted with up to 7 different generations of people, each having their own story and each spanning say 75 years. It isn't outside the realm of possibility that he's (unknowingly) going back and doing things that will turn out to be the legends he's heard as a child.
Haha I don't disagree with the theory at all and think it's completely possible. I was just making a joke/comparison because Fry from Futurama traveled back in time and slept with his grandma (making himself his own grandpa), inadvertently giving himself a special power in the process which later helped him save the world. Haha.
So many dead dogs in this show. When the final battle occurs I want to see the remaining Starks (if there are any) unleash a pack of hundreds, hopefully thousands of Dire Wolves that tear all the Wrights and shitty characters apart like the army of the dead in LOTR.
Just heard a really cool idea about the direwolves dying. It seems that the direwolves have all died right after their Stark has done something bad. Almost like a consequence. Lady died right after Sansa lied about what Joffery did. GreyWind died after Robb broke his marriage vows. Summer died after Bran went on his little escapade. Emergency Awesome has probably some of if not the best GoT vids on YouTube. Super informative.
