Already seeing the “George must hate this ending” tweets LOL You know that mf was like BRAN THE BROKEN BITCHES
It was never about the destination, it was about all the friends we made along the way. Oh and watching a ton of people get violently murdered.
Ser Podrick of the Kingsguard! Jon pets Ghost! Bronn being a pain in the ass on the small council! THE QUEEN IN THE NORTH! So many things
I think the phrase “Bran the Broken” was where I 100% noped out and stopped caring about what came next.
And it seemed so fucking outlandish that everyone wrote it off until Episode 3. And then they were like “wait....” but people still tried to convince themselves it was wrong
Bronn being there at all after what he did was...... something. But of course I’ve been over that dude for seasons.
Tyrion council scene made me smile at least. The whiplash of Dany and Grey Worm becoming super villains in one episode though is insane.
Do they? Being your own independent country is not without its challenges. I don't find it out of the realm of possibility that the other lords thought staying as part of one big country was the better move.
For a show that so many lauded for “realism” I don’t know how Jon’s assassination of Dany doesn’t lead to a whole nother seven seasons about a whole new war for power rather than a bunch of rich people, most of whom don’t seem to have any reason to believe Bran has superpowers, would just agree that he should be king because he has superpowers and oh yeah it’s totally cool if the North wants to secede
I shook my head at that as well. Might as well just not have a main king and everyone becomes a king.
Outcomes were fine. In a vacuum, this episode was satisfying, I had some nitpicks, like how the hell is the wall repaired and could Drogon burning the throne have more cheese, but overall it was a good ending. But really we could have had 3 episodes leading up to to Tyrion's trial or whatever that was? I kind of feel robbed. There was so much story before that to be told. Another 2 seasons really would have helped.
When the last 2-3 episodes had his only lines alternate between “I dun wan et” And “sheez muh Queen” i gave up on him
This show did Dany so fucking dirty. The last three episodes should have been like, a two season long arc. And again, I CANT BELIEVE THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE RUNTIME FOR THE SERIES FINALE IN A SERIES SO BUILT ON HER PRESENCE WAS CONTENT TO ACT LIKE SHE NEVER EXISTED
Thought this as well. Like I could have totally seen them bringing up the fact he is both fire and ice.
Not understanding the Bran the Broken hate...it’s a good call back to the books, and to season 1 episode 4
Happy with the way the show ended (except for Jon being super bummed out at the end), but the true ending will be in the books. I'm okay with it being two different things.
