I watched the episode this morning. I ain't gonna read the 15+ pages I missed but that horse was for sure Bran let's get this shit over with next week
This is the first and probably last time i've ever endorsed a spin-off but I would love an Arya spin-off where she's just traveling around everywhere.
Game of Thrones + One Piece = Arya spinoff. Just traveling around with Brienne, Pod, Ghost, and Hot Pie.
Some parts of this aged really well and some aged hilariously. You can really see how much the pace has botched it when you read a piece like this that was well before it happened. And a crack about “sex pirates” not being a lasting impression of the show is too on the nose funny after this season.
I keep forgetting that Gwendoline really did blow that she and lots of others survive in that one interview. At least I can’t imagine the last episode having another mass death wave. I’ll have to go back and rewatch how awkward she gets knowing it wasn’t a fakeout.
Brienne can be Zoro. Pod can be Nami. Ghost is Chopper. Hot Pie is.....Brook. Bring in Daario to be Sanji. Boom. @HBO hmu
I always thought the Dragon Stone throne looked soooo much better. Since the Iron throne is probably melted, maybe she'll just take to that one?
I think Bran is the most qualified to rule. He's far better at issuing commands and dispensing knowledge while seated than pretty much anyone else. I hadn't thought of that, but it's a distinct possibility. After last night I could see her wanting to eliminate anyone left who knows Jon's true parentage, including Jon.
The Watch’s pod brought up a good point as to why the bells were the inciting incident for Dany: she expected after all of this that the people of KL would feel liberated and indebted to her. But in the silence before the bells, all she hears are people screaming from the carnage afraid of her and begging for the bells to ring. Which calls back to the thing they’ve established with Dany throughout her entire arc of the show of feeling entitled to be a ruler who would be welcomed rightfully with open arms, and in that moment that idea is kinda spit on. So she leans on the fear.
