I feel like no matter what happened in this episode people would be complaining and it's honestly so exhausting. There are valid criticisms, but man. No one is ever fucking happy. I largely enjoyed the episode. It's been foreshadowed that Dany would likely go mad, though I was hoping she'd stay her hand and instead show her doubters wrong. I liked them showing Arya watching the battle unfold and hope it leads to her killing Dany or something. I feel like she's the only one who will. Am disappointed in writing for Tyrion and Jaime this season. Tyrion is like fucking up all over the place; he was never perfect before but now he's kind of a mess. I'd be fine with it if it was clearer why he was sucking. And Jaime going back to Cersei just kind of undoes all the good steps he made. Not super surprising, just disappointing, really.
actually i hope they do take SW away from them and cancel confederate and my dude goes back to brooklyn crime writing
Oh i mean, as showrunners making an adaptation they arent great. But can you imagine these fans reacting to City of Thieves the movie or miniseries? "THATS how he dies!? So unearned. So random."
Not huge on how they’re ending it, but the rushed pacing and the few ridiculous moments we’ve seen this season are putting every decision under a microscope.
We already held an early vigil but it’s definitely time to have a moment of silence for every child named Daenerys.
Yeah the decision to shorten the last two seasons definitely deserves some heavy criticism. Granted, some of the criticism has been extra stupid because of that.
yeah so many people spent years watching this show, investing hours of watching seasons, reading fan theories online, exchanging ideas with their friends and on the internet, becoming invested in character's development and story arcs, and waiting to see satisfying conclusions and to get to the end of the series are fucking begging to be let down.
Honestly thought for a moment that The Mountain was gonna kill Cersei. Thought she would keep ordering him go follow orders and ignore The Hound and he’d get pissed and behead her or Qyburn her. That would have been something.
