Yeah I was expecting much much worse based on the reaction here from people who said they saw leaks. The only arc I’m really angry over is Jaime. I know he still loves her and never stopped blah blah blah but it sucks that in the end he died where he started. He did all the good he did, loved Brienne, and still couldn’t get loose of her. Dany going Mad Queen was sold a little better than I expected. They did a decent job the first half of the episode selling her increased paranoia and despair. The convo with Jon about all she has is fear was a good touch. She went all out for the fear because she assumes the people will never love her. My only quibble is they made it a little too easy for her. Drogon was moving faster than we’ve ever seen him fly with her on his back, so that explains away some of it, but the scorpions on the walls ended up being basically useless. And i thought we’d get more of an overall battle than a sack. But holllly shit they went all in on the sack. Grey Worm went full Mad Unsullied. As soon as Dany made the choice, I was assuming the episode was going to end with someone (presumably Jon) ending it for her. Since she made it out of this episode, I think her chances of dying go down to like 98% instead of 100 lol....I assume it would be Jon but Arya might have another name on her list now....
