I will be very surprised if this show isn't just buried and forgotten about. At the moment at least it seems like they read / heard what people were saying and realized that this was not a good idea.
It somehow survived the initial round of mass criticism when it was announced, and GOT has probably been the most successful HBO show ever. So I imagine HBO is willing to let them do whatever they want at this point.
Confederate Delay Is Independent of Controversy, HBO Boss Says Only on hold because D&D have other Star Wars commitments. HBO is ready to roll with it whenever
Regarding the CGI, as good as the visuals are in this show, there are quite a few inconsistencies and goofs. Scroll fast if you don't wanna get mad.
Wow. That is much different than I thought. I really thought they announced a delay and put it on hold with every intention of burying it deep... That reads like if Benioff & Weiss decided to tell Star Wars to fuck off tomorrow and had scripts ready to go that would be moving forward right away.
If The Hound had said what his brother did to him was fine because it made him who he was the internet would have exploded.
Apparently Emilia Clarke or someone said on the after-episode segment that Dany just “forgot” about the Iron Fleet in that last episode....???
(*Edited to add that I only watched 10 seconds of that before posting and thought it was just the actual after-show recap thing and not what it actually is.)
When the hound says there’s only one thing that would make him happy - I have to think that one thing is killing his brother. Would be disappointing if we don’t get some type of interaction/fight between the two.
Thinking about the Wire just bums me out because no other show I’ve seen is near as good. Even the best ones. Mad Men comes closest and I’m slowly making my way through s1 of the Sopranos so maybe I can catch that high again soon.
Between that and last season straight up saying to him “you know what’s coming for you, you’ve always known,” or whatever, I’d be pretty shocked if there isn’t a fight
That scene with them seemed so strange, I guess partly because The Mountain can’t react to anything anymore so it felt like such an emotional moment wasted on a meat sack. I’m sure they will end up fighting before it’s done.
Lol ya I think a lot of emotional weight is lost with him basically being a zombie, but I guess it’ll still be satisfying?
