Now that the enchantments preserving the wall are broken, if that thing starts to melt next summer there’s going to be significant flooding in the North. Why is nobody talking about this.
Someone needs to survive to carry on the Targaryen name. My guess was that we'll see some astronomical event on the day Dany finds out she's pregnant.
HBO quietly removed the coffee cup from Game of Thrones Still can’t believe this made it all the way to air
True, and then it would conflict with all of the other narratively interesting things the show already has going on. Good point.
As funny as the coffee cup was, I do feel a little bad because that was def someone's job to look out for stuff like that, and they slipped up as we all do from time to time, but they ended up with the whole world making fun of them.
There were a lot of eyes that failed on that one, so hopefully it’s not just one random intern getting destroyed over it. I wish they had just leaned into it and kept it forever and ever. Those kinds of mistakes are always fun to look back on but now it’s gone. Feels very surreal that it can happen so quickly.
I told my friend that I hope for whichever talk show the whole cast does after the finale is released that they all walk out with Starbucks cups in hand and just have a good time with it.
Have they said anything about the spin off shows yet? If other main characters signed contracts, what it's about, etc.?
All online ratings are 100% a load of bullshit and aren't worth looking at. They're so easily manipulated and misconstrued.
Naomi Watts is leading one of them that was supposed to be called The Long Night, but I think they’re changing that title now.
I kinda wish they left it too - I think it speaks highly of the show that it's legit just sitting there on the table yet so many people missed it. I know I was caught up in the dynamics of what was happening with the characters and I was definitely looking at Emilia Clarke's face in that scene when I watched the first time .
not surprising. everyone i talked to at work yesterday, a lot of my friends, even the person who got me into the show have all said they hated it
They’re definitely not gospel, but they are absolutely useful and fun for getting a feel for how people are responding to an episode or a season generally. It is certainly interesting that of all the questionable or just plain bad episodes that have come before, THIS is the one that is getting completely destroyed. I’m sure being close to the endgame has a lot to do with that. It’s a total farce and a travesty that UUU is more highly rated though. It deserves the worst of the worst title, and they would have to go full Dexter for that to change now.
