I think im ok with it being sam and gillys send off, because the only reason tormunds gonna come back is to aide in combat and probably die in the process, if sam and gilly are alive and happy i will remember them fondly that way
One dragon melted Harrenhal. I would say we haven’t seen anything close to that, and we have three dragons together.
the moments leading up to Missandei's death had my heart pounding more than anything last week tbh I'm kinda relieved there are only two weeks left. I can't handle the stress anymore lol
We’ve seen the dragons obliterate hundreds, of not thousands, of people at a time. As well as seeing one burn down the great big giant was wall, lol wtf
How did they never show the true power of the dragons? They’ve killed countless men/whights over the last 8 seasons, burned a giant ice wall down, and shown to be extremely intelligent.
I really can’t believe how far away the AOTD feels already. Like I know everything has felt super rushed, but that seems like a season ago instead of a night or two.
Counterpoint to the people saying the writing in this episode was bad: This season/show has made the internal Dany mutiny very organic, and that scene with Varys/Tyrion was the highlight of the episode.
Lmao that’s absolutely not a reference point for how strong the dragons are. We’ve seen the dragons in the show multiple times now. They’ve been pretty consistent on how powerful they are. Saying that a part of the lore that happened forever ago carries more weight than what we’ve been shown many times is ridiculous.
Why go through all that effort to make Jaime into a completely different character to then undo it in 2 minutes? Tyrion and Varys were the highlight, but my opinion is that the writing felt very cheesy and odd.
I have to disagree. Soap opera in the literal definition yes. But the writing has never been this lacking in nuance and tact. Having just rewatched the entire show, character interactions are INCREDIBLY different than they used to be. The cheeky one liners used to be seldomly used and now I feel like we can't go 3 minutes without getting some sort of shipping, fan favorite call back, cheeky one liner, joke, dialogue that feels incredibly lacking in nuance and more. There is a difference. You can like it. That's ok. But it hasn't always been like this.
He might not be undoing anything. That’s the point of him going back. To help defeat Cersei. OR, to show us how absolutely conflicted his mental state is.
Look, if the trailers are any indication, Eleven is going to need some help to defeat the new threat at the Starcourt Mall in Hawkins. Dany and Drogon seem like good allies.
So Jaime is going back to be with Cersei, and not to fight her? I didn’t get that at all. Still betting on him killing her
