Every moment being dismissed as "cringe" is actually very anime and very cool.

I believe the word is HBO turned down The Walking Dead because they thought it was too violent and didn’t think anyone would watch something so gory and bleak.....lol.

Walking Dead would have been so good on HBO, as this show has proven.

Now they just need to buy the rights to World War Z and do a miniseries true to the book.

Or viewers/book readers lead themselves to believe that based off clues that come from the books but not the show itself? The only character to tell Jon he's the Prince that was Promised is a character who previously got wrong her prediction for the Prince that was Promised.

The show has lead viewers to believe Jon is important because Jon is important, not because he may or may not be some prophetic figure.

  12. well no but its easier to say "tpwp was prophecized to kill the night king" than to try to talk more vaguely about defeating the dead in whatever way

I'm ready to see an actual trailer for HBO's Watchmen. Hopefully it's better than the movie.

Aside from Melisandre, who speaks on the prophecy in the show? It isn't even brought up until season 2. Other than that, they're stories from religious sects during a time well before anyone that's alive now in the show was. We go off of the first scene, a Night's Watch member saw the dead and is clearly crazed from it. He's executed, and rumors spread across Westeros from what he said. The vast majority shrugged it off, and for the most part the audience is led to do the same and focus on the political plot lines, aside from Jon's journey with the Wildlings. And then of course, the last episode or one or two middle episodes showed small scenes with White Walkers and that's just for the foreshadowing of the threat they posed.

All the prophecy/theory stuff is exclusive to Melisandre in the show, and the only one who really hears it most is Davos/Stannis. And Davos never bought a damn word of any of it. Not the driving force of the story for the show, in my humble opinion. I don't even think Thoros or Beric even touched on any of it and they both support the LoL. It wasn't until Bran returned to the story that the Night King/White Walker saga expanded fully.

  23. if the show was never trying to lead viewers to think Jon was tpwp then there was literally no reason to include any of that in the first place lol

Arya killing the Night King instead of Jon is just feminist cultural marxism infiltrating Hollywood once again
