Arya as a young girl/woman massacring a bunch of people doesn't bother people but once she's a young woman who has consensual sex people lose their fucking minds - says a lot about our culture obviously
I wouldn't like them doing this but she could be used to bring someone back to life again. But they also have Beric for that if they choose to go that route. He still has his kiss of life.
Come on though it was so cool how the 11-year-old told the foreign assassin to straight-up murder three people off of her totally-normal-for-a-child-to-have kill list
Thoros was the one with the power to bring someone back, though, not Beric. Beric was just on the receiving end
He does do this but that plotline was dropped for the show. From what I recall, we don’t know if he has this ability on the show or not.
or a portion of the audience for a tv show who was introduced to Maisie Williams when she was like 12 is uncomfortable seeing her naked
Beric has already outlived his book-mandated death date so everything since then for him has been gravy
Yeah, this is what was weird as hell for me. I watched the first season a year ago and then a few months ago binged the rest of it, so she was very recently very young in my mind. Very strange. Also, I did miss Cersei in this episode. I hope she is much more involved soon.
And yet far, far less people would have even blinked an eye at that scene if Arya was a male character played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright
Based on these two episodes and there being approximately zero subtle hints about Tyrion in that regard I’d say that theory is out
and is that because she's a woman? Would you feel uncomfortable if you saw Bran's ass? not saying you are this but there is definitely a double standard that exists here.
The whole thing with the Night King being able to track Bran because he touched him/gave him a scar felt a little too similar to Harry Potter imo
There's something in every fantasy series that you could say felt a little too similar to at least a dozen other fantasy stories. If we're being serious, the mark on Bran is much more similar to how Davy Jones marks Jack Sparrow in that one PotC film than the taboo Voldemort puts on his name in Harry Potter.
I found the line about trying to kill multiple 3 eyed Ravens interesting. Could just be show lore but now I’m even more curious how/why Brynden Rivers became the 3ER
There have been some distasteful sexual moments in this show. Some warranted cause their characters were pigs and the details were in the books, and some not. However, Arya now being 18 and the actress playing her being 22 and also being allowed to choose what to show when shooting shouldn't be a big deal to anyone. It isn't really out of character for her and it wasn't overdone. I'm honestly surprised they didn't show more people doing it.
