"I like bringing characters together...it makes them easier to kill." - George R.R. Martin

This is all I can think now that all of my favorite living characters are either at the Wall or in the Iron Islands.

I'm assuming when Royce gets to Castle Black he will link up with Sansa and assist with taking over Winterfell along with the wildlings and maybe house Umber. Should be more than enough.

Don't Benioff and Weiss have Martin's notes for the rest of the story to look at and use as a guide? I could be wrong, but I think I read that somewhere.

I'm interested in seeing what Littlefinger and the Arryns would think about teaming up with the Wildlings.

Davos should be visiting with House Mormont here in the next episode or two but at the rate its been going that could be resolved by the next episode. We saw Brienne in Riverrun in the trailer. I am extremely curious how in the hell that comes to be at this point.

So does Osha trying to kill Ramsay help or hurt the theory that the Umbers are plotting against him? Either:
1)They knew she would/planned on her attempting to kill Ramsay and thus basically ending house Bolton, or
2)She knows she's on her own so she tried to basically repeat her escape from Winterfell when Theon took it over

Oh yea I'm sure they have SOMETHING.

I have a feeling Martin is speeding up the action in the books to make for better TV.

The scene of the Bolton's with a massive army in the trailer hurts that theory quite a bit.

Ah ok, I didn't catch the trailer, I should check that out

So is it a given at this point we will see Jon and Ramsay face off 1 on 1? Or will someone else kill him, maybe Sansa in some unexpected way?

Maybe both. Definitely one of them though, has to be

The scene in the first episode where Roose tells Ramsay he is not a victor because he has never faced a true army, only Stannis' already exhausted forces, leads me to believe he'll go similarly to Stannis: be defeated by unnamed people only to be killed by a significant character like Jon or Sansa.

If Ramsay does in fact go out in a violent way, I really hope he stays true to character all the way until the end.

I'm still torn on whether or not I think Stannis is actually dead, especially now that Brienne mentioned it again last night. Like she had no reason not to kill him, but also on a show that can be pretty egregious with it's violence, why cut away at the last second. Like they didn't show the Hound actually die so we assume he comes back, idk why Stannis would be treated differently.

my guess is that they wont really have an issue with it. the vale doesnt have the generational distrust and hatred of the wildlings that the north does, and littlefinger is conniving enough to see their strategic value and importance in retaking the north from the boltons. i imagine he will be less than pleased to discover that jon snow is involved and that bran and rickon are alive, however.

  19. I'm hoping Jon and Sansa find out who gave Rickon to Ramsay, and crush the Umbers. Fuck smalljon.

I don't see any reason TKOTV wouldn't team up with them. The Wildlings are only a nuisance to TNW and the smaller areas around the gift, the rest of the 7 kingdoms could care less about them.

stannis is 100% dead. between his final scene, what brienne said, and then this article i see no reason to think he's alive

Freal, it would have been one of the least gratuitous deaths on this show

edit: that said, I think it would be dumb to bring him back. Dude burned his daughter at the stake, he doesn't really get redemption from that. Just think not showing his death because it would be too "gratuitous" just feeds unnecessary speculation.

There's a lot to be said about a group of people who feel that showing a death from the books is "too gratuitous" but adding a rape scene that was cutaway from in the source material is A-OK.

And in all fairness, I suppose I could just as easily call them out for dedicating an entire season to torturing someone when the book left many of that up to speculation.

Davos was told by the head of a great northern house that Stannis will have the North's support if Davos retrieves Rickon from the isle of Skagos.
Safe to say zero of that will be happening.
