Nah Jaime had come too close to seeing the light for his whole arc to end there. He was bound to inevitably recognize that Cersei is a lost cause and (most likely) kill her

 

No point in watching this when you could just watch every ep of Gay of Thrones

Someone said something about casting characters that are supposed to be related and them looking alike and GOT crushing it with a couple of the choices, but one that wasn't mentioned was Lyanna Stark and Arya. Goddamn they nailed it there.

So I added the HBO channel to my Prime Account - does anyone know if this means you can watch shows live? Or do I have to wait for the next day / after the episode ends to watch it?

 

HBO Now has them available right at start time. I would imagine it’s the same.

I forgot to say that the Tormund/Brienne thing is kind of funny as a meme (and his face is hysterical), but it’s so blatantly one sided that I’m kind of grossed out by how many people treat it as canon.

Have to disagree there. Every interaction she has with Tormund is rolling her eyes and just this side of gagging. With Jaime at least there’s an acknowledgement of interest on both sides. Not to mention that “subtext is basically text” scene with his sword...

I hope however her story ends involves her getting to decide for herself, whatever that may be. So much of her arc has been completed as it is.

This episode has never gotten any easier to watch

 

I really love the Mad King screaming “burn them all!” Over images of the night king and his army in bran’s visions at the start of s6ep6

 

I actually hate that they show The Mad King, and Rhaegar. It took away their allure I built in my head of them both.

 

My only flex was that Rhaegar did not look the least bit as regal as I'd hoped he would.

I loved seeing the mad king flashbacks...Rhaegar was just such a cheap attempt, they clearly just like, gave him Harry Lloyd’s wig from season one lol
