I can’t, I already love Lost! Lol. I think I mentioned it in the thread a while back that I will defend Lost all day long, but I totally acknowledge that it’s often a hot mess and that keeps it from GOAT contention. It is still easily in my top ten on a personal level, maybe top five depending on the day.

 

Yeah they hire a bunch of sellswords before they go north but they never specify any sellsword troop that they hire, they just say “the sellswords”

 

With the final waif confrontation I thought it was that she let out the candle because she was adept at fighting blind, which gave her a huge advantage when both of them can’t see

 

Except for Margaery and Loras having super unsatisfying stories/endings, this is much more like it. She made it go boom real good.

 

This wineboarding scene is an all-timer speech. It definitely goes in the imaginary supercut.

 

Re: the child actor discussion a few pages back, I think the actor playing Tommen did a really good job. He never came off as outright stupid, but was just a naive kid who didn’t understand “politics”

 

Tommen gave me one of my favorite gifs of all time.

 

Yeah that part I got and actually thought was a great call back to give us some purpose to all the blind stick fighting she did, but I more meant the fact that she reopened her stab wounds while running from the Waif and seemed to be bleeding pretty profusely by the time the Waif got there, and apparently she was a okay haha

 

There are some scenes where he’s a lot better than others, but I’ve been surprised to see how much hate the character and actor get compared to way worse examples.

 

Cersei being Cersei again? Library porn? Davos acting his little heart out?? Do I dare get my hopes up to just be happy with this whole episode??? I can’t let my guard down...

 

Just finished last episode of season 6 and that was fun

 

I have NO idea why this trash society is so readily accepting of Lyanna, but it’s definitely fun to watch.

Lmao Sam looking at Gilly apologetically like “ehhhhhhhhh sorry I really gotta go see this I’m sorry I’m sorry” is great. As is that whole interaction with the guy keeping the books. “This is highly irregular.”

 

She stopped the wine part after a bit but it’s Cersei taunting Unella.

Season 3 marathon on now...I love the look on the Hounds face when he finds out its Beric he’s fighting. He looks a little nervous because Beric had a reputation as a good fighter from all the tournies I believe

 

It’s not nearly as bad as some of the other plots in five and six, the main issues are that it requires a lot of people acting out of character to get them into their place of total control, the sparrows themselves are terrible to watch except for Jonathan Pryce, and it derailed years of development for one super interesting character (and one sadly underdeveloped one) into basically a shaggy dog story.
