And Bran is definitely the worst of the kids, but most of them are mediocre at best. Maybe some of them will do better in six and seven.

 

Ahhhh yes, I’ve made it to the finale of season 6 on my rewatch.

Probably my favorite episode in the show.

 

Sansa does great work even if the material she is given early on isn't great, and Arya is definitely one of the most scene-stealing (though she also gets a slog of an arc after her time with the Hound comes to an end)

 

For how much i love arya/maisie - i couldnt stand her arc once she got to bravos. I was so bored by it all. Her time with the hound was so good though. Give me a buddy comedy spin off.

 

Maisie is great in this, especially her stuff with the Hound. Jack Gleeson was cast perfectly as Joffrey.

 

Oh yeah they’re fine, Sansa especially got ruined by bad writing for her character versus bad acting. But you still have a million Robins and Ollys and Tyenes (I know she’s not a kid but she’s super young) running around massacring every line.

They can’t all be queen Shireen.

 

Lyanna mormont is the goat child actor

 

I have yet to meet her. Pretty sure that’s who everyone expects me to love. Lol.

 

Also does the Waif count as a child because she’s atrocious.

I’d say the list of shows with large casts of child actors better than GoT’s is pretty small. Not saying there aren’t some duds, but it’s pretty damn good overall.

 

Maisie Williams is very good. Sophie Turner is great. Jack Gleeson was great. Rickon was like five and honestly who even cares. Lyanna Mormont is also very good.

 

Halfway through Beyond The Wall. I’m almost there

 

The cold opening scene of season 7 would have been even crazier if they didn’t show what they showed in the finale of season 6.

That would REALLY have us shouting holy shit if we were not expecting it.

 

Now I’m having trouble remembering what they showed us in season 6 finale of the white walkers lol

 

Ha, Rickon actually JUST came back in the episode I got to today, so I was reminded of him for the first time in forever. It’s a shame that one of the kids just doesn’t matter a single bit.

And yeah I guess it’s fair to say that the kids are just like the adults in that some are very good and some are horrendous and because there are so many characters it makes the bad ones stand out more compared to other shows with tighter casts in general.

 

Does Jon dying ever get addressed on any kind of existential level or is he always just exactly the same as he was before but with shorter hair?

 

I don’t think the white walkers were featured. I literally just watched this episode so I should know, but I’m pretty sure there was nothing.

Also worth noting all the children were aged up in the show. I think book Robb is 15 and Jon is 14 or vice versa. Rickon is like 5 or something lol

 

Alfie Allen might be the most underappreciated actor on the show, just finished Season 2.

The Iron Islanders are the worst fucking hypocrites just fyi

 

Alfie Allen NAILS Theon. He's up there with Lena Headey in terms of dead-on accuracy from the books. Especially in the later seasons. He's so good.
