My best friend is a purely show watcher and he still things Ned is Jon's dad. Melisandre's eyes when she realizes she's actually raised him from the dead made me laugh. Totally the same look I would have myself.
Yeah my brother and all my casual watcher friends have no idea at all. And omg I'm devastated about ShaggyDog
One of my favorite post show activities is browsing #DemThrones. One tweet now has me wanting Beyonce's "Sorry" playing over that last scene of Jon.
I know it's the point of the character, but I really hate how everything just falls into place for Ramsay. He's like the only person who's had no adversity so far.
Another really strong episode. Funny how that works whenever Dorne is excluded from the episode. Anyhow, I was surprised at how Ramsay was able to keep his cool while talking to the guy from House Umber. He's more political/PR minded than I imagined.
Do we know who it was that stabbed Arthur Dayne in the back to save Ned Stark? Sure looked like Jaime Lannister to me.
Really interesting to see that Bran could potentially have some influence or effect on the past, though. Also, Sansa and Brienne are totally going to show up at Castle Black next week, promptly after Jon has left, aren't they? Goddamnit. Double also, apparently Pycelle farted after seeing the Mountain? That's incredible. Totally missed it, but I blame the asshole honking his car horn for about 10 minutes straight outside of my apartment.
Well, it's not like the show has cast much doubt on the fact that it's actually the Mountain like the books have.
Is it known how much time has passed between the 1st book and the most recent? I've only read the 1st
Alright, some basic thoughts on the episode....I'll spoiler as usual just in case... Wall-Love seeing Jon say "fuck it" to the Night's Watch almost immediately. I hope he doesn't leave Castle Black before Sansa gets there. Liked seeing him give zero fucks about hanging the traitors too. Thorne's final words were interesting. Harrington played the confusion of coming back to life really well. Winterfell-Ugh. Seriously...fuck Smalljon Umber. Shaggy dog uggggggh :( Also kind of sucks that we got confirmation on Great Jon not coming back. Think it's interesting that the Karstark kid is angling himself as Ramsay's #2. There's no way Rickon makes it out of being in Ramsay's company alive. So bummed. Bran-Tower of Joy was awesome. A little bummed they skipped a lot of the book dialogue and had it be 2 on 6 instead of 3 on 7....but holy shit Arthur Dayne was awesome. Loved both Young Ned and Bran's reaction to Howland Reed stabbing Dayne in the back....Ned almost seemed incredulous. Also actually like that they didn't go into the Tower yet. Would have been too early of a reveal for the unsullied. Dany-Probably the biggest zzzzzzzzz of the episode. I know we're getting somewhere with the story and all but at this point it's just like okay when is Drogon coming in and burning everything and will Jorah survive the rescue. Kings Landing-Hah, I loved this stuff. Jaime being a smartass to the Mountain, Varys' little birds getting co-opted by Qyburn, the Small Council basically telling Jaime and Cersei to fuck off. Legit thought Cersei was going to have FrankenMountain take them all out right there. I'm afraid we may lose Lady Olenna this season :( Others-lol so awkward in Mereen. Tyrion trying to talk to those two is high comedy. Varys doing Varys things, getting his whispers. Arya's story will hopefully finally start moving now. Sam and Gilly was sweet, but once again felt like more of a "check in" then something actually advancing the story. Can't wait to see Horn Hill and, hopefully, Oldtown.
I feel the Dothraki writing has been shit this season, so I hope they are taking Dany's story somewhere good. Glad to see Olly hang. What a ****. edit, didn't realize the c word was edited on this site.
Why did they show the scene with Littlefinger and Sansa in the preview if neither of them appeared in the episode? Also is Littlefinger appearing at all this season? Or did he die and I totally forgot about it because everyone dies on this show.
