While that is a cheeky spin on her brother killing her, the prophecy said three kids, didn't it?

That's how I took it. I think at this point, someone would have theorized a long time ago that Cersei had more children if it was open for interpretation even the slightest bit. Pretty sure that her being pregnant signifies that either a) she'll lose the kid or b) she won't make it the next 9 months.

My issue with this is Cersei tells Cat in one of the very first episodes that she and Robert had a baby, but he didn't survive long after she gave birth. Can anyone remind me if this is a detail in the book? But doesn't that tear away at the 3 kids in the prophecy?

Just started a re-watch of this season. I know it doesn't feel like it cause things are moving so fast, but I just realized how many characters bit it this season in just 7 episodes. Olenna, The Sand Snakes, Littlefinger, Tarly and his son, Thoros, Viserion....am I forgetting anyone?

I'm reading the first book now and the point where she would have said that has already come and gone, so I don't think it's in the books unless it happens at a different time.

Saw someone mention about Tywin and Shae. Was Tyrion and Shea's relationship ever real or was it always a con? I don't remember

In the books it's definitely one sided. The show makes more ambiguous bc I think they tried to meld her character with tysha's so I assume she did love him at some point
I can't imagine tyrion would feel bad lying to cersei

From what I remember it seemed like she did love him until around the time of the marriage to Sansa or shortly after. But I've never done a rewatch so I could be remembering incorrectly

I dunno .. this is the first time they've been face to face since he's been sided against her. He killed Tywin and teamed up with Dany and the conversation between just the two of them seemed like he regretted that they were now enemies because of that.

    yeah i think youre right
i think he was playing her. theyve never been on the same side, even when they were both fighting against the same people

I think I said this earlier but I've been trying to read the second book for the past 2 years or so. I blazed through the first book but I can't find the motivation for this one

I still haven't read the second book haha. I wanted to get caught up for season four so I started reading the third book after the first. Someone said where the last chapter for season 3 was at. Did NOT mention that Joffrey's death preceded that final chapter though. Got to that and ended up reading all the books before season four started.

I flew through the first book. Got halfway done with the second at a really good pace and then hit a wall. I haven't read anymore of the book since probably the beginning of this year.

yeah i loved the first book and got through it pretty quickly and was super hyped to start the second since it starts to focus on stannis (my favorite character) but got stuck in a bran chapter and ended up giving up. dont even know where my copy is anymore.

Oh hm I don't think he was playing her, that scene seemed very genuine to me. Making the interaction happen behind closed doors between just the two of them made it even more so. If they had been in a room with a bunch of other people then yeah I could see that coming across as him playing her. They were certainly on the same side when Tywin named him Hand of the King in his stead, Tyrion just happens to also care about other families other than his own. He appreciates the big picture.

Cersei has never liked tyrion, and I think at this point tyrion is beyond the point of caring about that. I think he definitely regrets the kids getting hurt but I don't think he regrets how badly that hurt cersei

I am planning on reading them all, but I wanna buy them hardcover so I'll search used book stores for them. I found book 5, hardcover, in GREAT condition for $6.

Idk man I think he would have just had the Mountain kill him in that scene if she had no love for him whatsoever. At the end of the day they are family and that is very important to the Lannisters.

She didn't kill him because she knew she would be next.

I think that's part of it but not the whole thing. I guess we shall see. To me though that whole scene seemed genuine in comparison to scenes in previous seasons where we saw Tyrion manipulate people.
