Legally she can't inherit the throne no matter who her father was. But also, if she was the Mad King's son, still no. Rhaegar was his first son, therefore his heir. The only way it would've passed on to Viserys, his second son, was if Rhaegar had no children. Jon is his child therefore Jon is the heir.

cant wait until she inevitably becomes pregnant and realizes she is carrying the heir's heir which pushes her even further out of the picture in terms of assuming the throne. can't imagine she'll be any pleased.

Jon is only the heir if you don't recognize Robert as a true king. There really is no heir, there would have to be a great council to determine who will be king

With the Wall down, I feel like the walkers will arrive not too long after Danny and Jon so there won't be much time to think about that lol

well it certainly seems like the targ's don't recognize Robert as a true king, and if they believe the targ's have rights to the throne, Jon is the heir as far as theyre concerned (or will be concerned)

whether or not he will WANT to be king may be another story

  6. This is all assuming there's even an iron throne at the end

I sincerely hope that the next season gives us some reason as to why the White Walkers want to kill everyone. Them as simply evil incarnate is way less interesting.

I don't think so, it's been fine thus far. With 6 episodes left we really don't need any MORE backstory to reveal or new storylines to go through.

    I don't think so.

Stannis and Renly's claim to the throne was based on Robert's children not being legitimate. So I believe "child of first born" outranks "third born"

The Night King can't be too happy about being turned into an undead frozen horror by the Children, I'm sure that plays into whatever 'motivations' he may have.

But I don't know if they'll ever get into it because then it'll have to get into how he was defeated 8000 years ago but didn't die, and why he waited until now to come back, etc

I don't need a total backstory. We've already gotten enough of that in pieces, I think. I just want to know why the White Walkers want to kill everyone. It could be summed up in literally a single sentence. What is their end game here and why?
So if he's unhappy about being turned by the Children, why is he now marching south? Isn't his gripe with the children. If any of them are still alive after the attack on the Three Eyed Ravens cave, presumably they're farther north, not south beyond the wall.

The show has given us just enough little peeks into the White Walker's culture (I guess you could call it that, right?). That stuff with taking only the baby boys. The spiral patterns. The weird place where we see them bring Craster's son before turning him. I don't need 80 hours dedicated to unpacking what it all means, but there seems to be some sort of rationale and critical thinking with these characters and I'd like to at least understand that more considering they are presumably the final big bad of the entire series.

What? We'll definitely get way more backstory on the walkers - which I'm very much looking forward to

I think he's happy now that he has a dragon and not a decaying horse. He'll probably just go back north and live out his days in happiness.

Like i said, this is why I don't think they'll ever get into it...easier and less messy to just leave it unaddressed and have people think they're just evil beings....

But as for why not just attack the Children, my guess would be once he became undead zombie dude, he started to resent all life.

I'd like more info on what went wrong between when they turned him and when they went rouge, and I think there's a decent chance we get that...but I don't know if the show is going to try and explain their motivations.

If this happened, I think the only way I'd want it is if they devoted an entire episode to it, like they did with Jacob/Man in Black during the last season of Lost. A whole episode devoted to their backstory and why they're doing what they're doing, but like I said with 6 episodes left I highly doubt we get that.

There are only two Targaryens left. None of Dany's followers are following her because she's the last remaining child of the last rightful monarch. They're doing it because they believe in her. That's been said over and over again.

The two non-Crownland kingdoms of the country that supported Aerys in Robert's Rebellion are no longer part of the story, and the only major player that fought for Aerys that survived to see Dany return was Randyll Tarly, and he was burned alive by Dany. Might people look at Jon as a better leader than Dany because he doesn't burn people? Sure. But him being a Targaryen won't be the main reason for people supporting him.

The problem with Dany's logic is by refusing to acknowledge the Baratheon's, she is de-legitimizing her own claim. The only claim the Targs have is via right of conquest so by denying the Baratheon conquest, she is denying the means in which her claim was built on. Lyanna Mormont did the world a solid by naming Jon. "Fuck rights, he is what is right." That's partially why I think Jon won't cause a problem. He'll just say "who cares?" and follow Dany anyway.

What I believe is that they knew from the like 2nd episode when Bran, Sansa, and Arya met near the Direwoods. I'm guessing that Bran told them everything then and there and that everything after was an act. When Arya tells Sansa she wants to play the Game of Faces, she goes on to tell nothing but lies (ie: I wonder what those pretty dresses feel like [she doesn't], Sansa didn't care when her father was executed [she was screaming and crying], etc.). It's obvious they were playing games the entire time, talking with open doors and loud voices so that LF or one of his little birds hears.

Saw this on twitter but think it's worth thinking about - so when Jaimie inevitably turns up at Winterfell, does Bran now know it was Jaimie that pushed him out the window?

He def will have searched that out by then.

Jaime going North is basically walking into a world of people who hate him haha...better hope Tyrion and Brienne can speak for him.
