Exactly. You don't need any more information to know why/how the Freys and Boltons betrayed Robb Stark. It was a great twist but made complete sense. They jumped ship for the winning team after Robb broke his promise and was starting to lose the war. That was an instance where you needed to be in the dark.

With this twist, you have to assume a thousand things happened for them to get over their differences, learn to trust each, figure out that it was all Littlefinger's doing, and also uncover all of his other secrets in order to have a solid case against him. You were purposely misdirected and fed a bunch of reasons why the sisters shouldn't trust each other and now suddenly that doesn't matter. Now, moving forward, have they just forgotten everything that happened this season? Who knows.

The Theon scenes were unnecessary and horribly written.

Jon forgives Theon? Why does Jon forgive Theon NOW and not before? He's done nothing. Same thing for this being "his redemption." Dude showed humility and honor by naming Yara rightful Queen and he risked everything to save Sansa. So either he was redeemed already or he did absolutely nothing and somehow found redemption in doing so? And the Ironborn were completely idiotic. They believe Yara is dead or hopeless, they don't want to follow her decree, and yet they were convinced in a split second by what, producers not understanding anatomy and Theon beating the shit out of someone?

I loved the way that Qyburn looked at the wight's severed hand like "I need this....for science."

Fun fact: Aegon did not want his son and daughter (Jaehaerys and Shaera) to marry, he had intended to end the incest tradition...but then all of his kids didn't listen to his wishes and were very rebellious, and those two got together.

What do we make of Cersei not giving the order to kill Tyrion? Did she really just not have it in her to do it now that she knows Tyrion didn't kill Joff, or was it more about knowing that killing him would make it impossible for her long term plans? Like she knew she couldn't trick Dany into thinking they had a short term alliance if she killed Tyrion?

yeah my thinking is that she sees him as too valuable to her seeing how close he is with Dany. no way she just grew a heart and likes him again after an apology that knowing tyrion probably wasn't sincere at all

Didn't she also try to kill him even before Joff was dead?

She would be dead if she killed him. She knew that.

And Tyrion's apology about the two younger kids was 100% sincere...?

100% Cersei knows she isn't in a strong enough position to kill Tyrion and get away with it. Kill Tyrion, the hand of the queen, and Dany would come for her with her army and dragons. No way is Cersei getting out of that alive. Had The Golden Company already arrived, then maybe different story.

As far as we know, no. The two times Tyrion mentions (as far as I can tell) are when she tries to get him executed for Joffery's death, and putting a bounty on his head after his escape.

Joffery was responsible for the Kings Guard on the Battle of the Blackwater

Aegon had to be the name. I forget why but it did haha. Jon being named Aegon is a response to Rhaegar realizing his son with Ellia was not the Prince That was Promised. It's actually kind of dark because in a way he's acknowledging Aegon's death.

Yeah him naming both of his sons Aegon is basically him believing the prophecy 100%

Absolutely. Tyrion was always loving and close towards the children, minus Joff. This is super apparent in the first couple seasons, especially. And Tyrions intentions when sending Myrcella off to Dorne was not to end up with her dead. He genuinely feels terrible that she died, as with Tommen.

I like what Sansa said about the northern lords turning on whoever is in charge at the drop of a hat. The Ironborn are the same way. It's like all you have to do is start chanting something or punch somebody to sway them over to your side. haha.

Cersei giving Jaime shit for betraying her was kind of dumb because it's not like he knew he was meeting with Tyrion. Then as soon as he did he went and told her and she seemed to know that Jaime didn't know. So that part was kind of dumb to me

Aw man I hope Winterfell isn't destroyed by the dead. I hope they retreat south before they destroy it.

Maybe they'll make a stand at the Neck? Would be agood way to bring Meera and Howland into the fold...

Would it not be a good idea to make a stand at The Twins, given the walkers can't swim?
