Yeah I think Ghost was just being used as a "he can sense it" type of deal.

It all depends what Jon "saw" when he died I think. If he gets to the other side and R'hllor is there telling him the White Walkers need to be defeated in the name of the Red God or whatever, he might stop giving a fuck about doing "the right thing" or what's "noble", and just get shit done at all costs. That would certainly be a change for him.

Oh, also I def think it's possible we only get the fight at the TOJ this sunday and not the aftermath. So I do agree that we might not be getting R+L=J this weekend.

I'd like to see anyone try to tell Jon he's not the lord Commander anymore. If he didn't take the offer of being Jon stark and winterfell last season I can't see him leaving now. Also he now has the numbers he's also wanted for the wall if the wildlings rally behind him.

His biggest issue with accepting stannis' offer was that he would be breaking his watch oath. If he feels he is freed from that oath after dying then he might be more open.

So Jon was only dead for like 36 hours right? Davos collected the body immediately after, and the next day Allister told him he had till the end of the night to surrender?

How similar was Jon's resurrection to Beric's (his first one anyway)?

What I'm getting at is what if she didn't really bring Jon back, but something else did? Is there an off chance Bran could have seen this and in some weird way did something? I don't know, just a thought.

I don't remember the name of the priest that brings back Beric time and time again, but he was always weaker after he did the "spell", and eventually he died, right?

Thoros of Myr. I think you are right about the weaker part but I think he's still alive. Pretty sure both he and Beric are going to appear again this season.

    I'm Back.

I hope so, because they were awesome.

I also have a feeling Jon is taking over for the Lady Stoneheart storyline. Obviously he won't be as zombie like as her, but it's still kind of the same thing.

Is there any way Sansa still meets up with her while she's just walking around? Just weird considering the huge deviation of Brienne's character. I mean, Jamie is still in King's Landing.

There is pretty much no chance Jon resembles Stonehearts storyline at all.

All I meant is that he was resurrected in the same manner, and that he'll be different than he was before.

How cool is it that we are finally going to get to meet Rhaegar Targaryan in the flesh?!
I've always found his character to be quite intriguing.

When did Mel do the ritual? was the it the day following the showdown between Davos and Alliser, or just later that night? If it was the following morning then yeah it seems to be roughly 36 hours or so. If it was the same night, probably closer to 24-30.

Yeah Jon's resurrection is basically the exact same as the Lady Stomeheart situation except her dead body was much older and had its throat slashed and was in the river for a long time.

EDIT: actually didn't Beric actually give up his life for hers somehow. Was Thoros even part of it?

I doubt they do her plot line unless she actually turns out to be very very important. If they just start bringing everybody back it will seem pretty cheap.

Yeah so Thoros refused to revive Catelyn so Beric was able to pass his "flame" to her. That's interesting. It would theoretically mean that at some point maybe Jon could pass his new life on to someone else. Would be very fitting of his character.

Would be hilarious if Jon somehow can bring back Ned.

LOOOOOOOL. The ultimate troll job. End of the series is just Ned's living head on the Iron Throne.

In all honesty, there is a zombified Mountain running around and we've seen Beric brought back from the dead after serious injury from The Hound. It isn't THAT out of the realm of possibility that they put Ned's head back on his body and do what they gotta do and boom, zombie king.

And also there are literal fucking zombies running around!

I really don't think Jon is going to be that different. The only reason Stoneheart is different is because she witnessed her son get murdered at his wedding and then was offed herself. I don't blame her for wanting every Frey's head after that.

Maybe Jon orders Allister and other betrayed to be executed. Maybe he lets them live because he needs all the men he can get. Who knows. I just don't expect some sort of big personality change in him to occur.

  19. Is this actually happening? Was there a casting for him? He wasn't present at what went down at TOJ (and might have actually been dead already at that point, but I can't remember for sure).

Bob killed Rhaegar at the Trident before this happened. Also, Ned and the others didn't go to the Tower of Joy until after they took King's Landing and went to help Stannis at Storm's End.

It would be cool if we eventually got to meet Rhaegar but's not going to happen

Heres what Kit Harrington has said on the matter: '
"At first, I was worried that he'll wake up and he’s the same, back to normal -- then there's no point in that death," Harington said. "He needs to change."

Harington continued, "Jon’s never been afraid of death, and that’s made him a strong and honorable person. He realizes something about his life now: He has to live it, because that’s all there is. He’s been over the line and there’s nothing there. And that changes him. It literally puts the fear of god into him. He's seen oblivion and that’s got to change somebody in the most fundamental way there is. He doesn't want to die ever again. But if he does, he doesn't want to be brought back."

    I'm stoked.

I really, really wish we could get Rhaegar at some point. We passed Dany's visions in the House of the Undying though, so I don't know when else we could get it.

Bran needs to warg to either the Tourny at Harrenhall or the battle of the Trident ASAP.

Well I imagined that when he's brought back he's gonna "live his life" now. I mean, dude died and is lucky enough to come back. Of course I believe there's going to be at least something dofferent, I just don't think we're gonna see some 180 personality shift like Lady Stoneheart.
