Y'all know that they were easily there for over a day. They show them wake up. They arnt going to show them waiting around for 24 hours, they skip to the important part.. so yea time feels like it goes faster than it does... that's why they showed them wake up

 

Hopefully the stupidity is over. The writing hasn't been bad outside the suicide mission and the Arya/Sansa dynamic. One can hope, anyways.

Either way. I love this show too much. I can't quit it.

 

Why wasn't the Suicide Squad equipped with Dragonglass, either?

 

a lot of pretty bad dialog flaws in this one, some dumb/clearly rushed plot points, but the action scenes were cool as hell

 

I always thought Tyrion would suggest a betrothal and try to nudge Jon and Dany that way as a political solution more than they were attracted to each other. So I get his lines this episode on that level.

Really hope they don't fuck. Still don't think it happens.

Lots of the dialogue wasn't really moving anywhere. How many scenes are just people saying Dany needs to not be her father? How many are Arya and Sansa mistrusting each other? Granted that finally moved into slightly new territory at the end, but it's basically been their status since they reunited. Heck, it was their status from the start, they're just very different people now.

 

Pumped as hell for next week tho. How they contextualize this season will help view the direction of the show.

 

Game of Deus Ex Machinas imo

 

The whole "kill the walker who raised the dead and they'll all die again" thing kinda mutes the impact of the zombie dragon tbh

 

yeah, the writing isn't great but i don't give a shit for the most part, the whole north of the wall part of the episode was some of the most tense stuff i've seen on television

 

So this is pretty cool...

Thought it was the best episode of the season but will probably feel differently upon a rewatch

Also how the hell was Gendry the fastest of them, motherfucker runs like Alex Jones

This is cool, but I also don't really know what it's supposed to represent exactly?

Also, it sorta annoys me more that the show is willing to go to the lengths to include a little detail like that but aren't taking the same care with the actual plot lines and writing.

 

They sacrificed a dragon, and Thoros, for their idiot mission. I also love how an extra appeared out of nowhere every time they needed someone to die in that scene.

 

I guess in retrospect, I'm happy that there were such severe consequences to such an idiot plan.

 

So who's all on their way to King's Landing? Brienne and the Hound set to meet again. The Hound and Gregor set to meet.....

Tense as fuck episode, but am bugged a little about how fucking fast those dragons must be. Like damn. How does Dany stay on?!

Knew Benjen would come save the day, but was still silly.

I'm really enjoying this season on the whole, but there are definitely issues that are hard to gloss over. Did love the interactions between the various characters north of the wall though.

 

The Arya-Sansa thing is just maddening to me too

First off - how freaking long have they been at Winterfell together?

Second - Have neither actually sat down and explained or talked about where they were and what's happened since they last saw each other?

Third - why is every conversation with the Starks now just completely ambiguous and then over?

Also - where is Theon? Just been chillen in Dragonstone for weeks?

After a couple of episodes of Euron just transporting at will - he's nowhere now?

 

So Dany and Jon both definitely die, right? Like, why would most of Dany's scene revolve around the prospect of her dying while Jon has a conversation about this being his life's purpose? They even hammered it home with the whole "who will be left behind after you" thing, as Dany leaves Tyrion behind.

 

Also, Arya hands Sansa the knife. She isn't getting played, guys. She's playing Littlefinger and is going to use Sansa's face to get proof for herself. The question SHOULD be, how the fuck is Sansa going to do that.
